I'm sure you missed his point.
Ducati never did release this many so called exclusive bikes as frequently as they have in the recent past. Before Audi, the exclusive models almost never existed in comparison. Of course a company needs to come out with newer and more updated models to make money but they could have just released models in a way where they didn't put so much hype as exclusivity because it is no longer like the years of the past. When the desmo came out, there was no other exclusive bike until the 1199sl. I mean sure, there were sp models and whatever else that were numbered but we're talking about an SL level of bike. 1199SL just came out 3yrs ago, then they announced the anniversario just cuz it was an anniversary model and then now the 1299SL. It takes away from the exclusive factor a bit when the manufacturer decides to release another numbered vehicle after just having released one. If the anniversario was released like the base, S, tricolore lineup a few years ago, I think that would have helped a bit but even still, the 1299SL release really wasn't necessary. There was a point to be made with the 1199SL and that was to release a production bike and make it light as possible. The 1299SL is just another fancy panigale with some changes. If they released an SL version of the next gen bike instead of the 1299SL, i think that would have been acceptable as well. They are simply flooding the market with a bunch of bikes too frequently. That's the point.
