This week is finally here .. are any Base/ Standards here to match??

We'll see how it goes until the end of this month. I say if I dont get any communication or status at all by end of this month with "Your bike has arrived", then its time to look else where.
 
I've seen at least a couple guys on forums posting that they've gotten bases in the US. Mine's supposed to be at the dealer Sat.

Today is Monday and I was told to "expect" the call today- but alas, no call..........still waiting!
I was told "this week" my bike is sure to be there......Base 1199 (NYC area.)

I was told the exact same thing. Getting frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:

That's actually a good idea!! LOL Ive never camped out for an iphone or ipad before but I may camp out for the 1199 .... (scene opens) I see my sales guy walking up on Tuesday morning like, Sir, whatcha up to and I reply, "Im here to camp out for my damn Panigale bike .. tired of waiting for it to show up so ... and hey, dont worry about me calling you anymore ... I got it covered, I'll probably know before YOU! when my bike arrives here .. thank you for your assitance" and then I crawl back in my sleeping bag in the tent ...

Hilarious!!! ;)
 
MY 1199 PANIGALE BASE ABS HAS ARRIVED!!!!

As I told RepDucWayne privately (we've been exhanging messages), dealers should be receiving their base and base ABS bikes any day now. Don't worry so much about a VIN. If your dealer has told you that the bike has been shipped (from NJ warehouse not Italy...lol) then it should arrive to your dealer within a few days. If they prep it quick for you, you'll be riding this weekend.

Any S ABS models coming with the Base models in this shipment?
 
Yes, there were also S ABS models included with the shipment. Most important is to know that your bike has shipped. Once you get the "your bike has shipped" call/email from your dealer, it's only a matter of days. Dealers don't want to sit on the bikes since they pay C.O.D., so you WILL get a call very quickly once the dealer is notified.
 
So that means, guys like me, northen Cal, no call yet, the wait still going on my base model then...maybe next shipment??? and who knows when would that be...sounds like camping outside the dealership is not a bad idea after all....!!!
 
I called my dealer late this afternoon and this is the conversation:

Me: Hey, its Charles Foxtrot. I ordered a Panigale Base model. Any word yet?

New guy I never spoke with at Dealer: Well, I gotta be honest with you. . .

Me: Oh no. . . [sad, expecting the worst]

NGINSWAD: Your bike got here yesterday but we are so slammed I haven't been able to do the PDI yet. Can you wait until tomorrow?

So I'm happy!!
 
Charles, I would love to have that phone call....although I was told I'd definitely receive mine before the weeks' over- still waiting!

Holy crap, I might be a little peeved if they didn't call the second it was here. But the fact that it is would probably assuage that.

this just made my day. i hope the call is coming...
 
i lost hope a while ago. this is a good point to get into a relatively neutral perspective (down here in the numb fog)
