The idea itself wouldn't be so bad/dumb but the execution of it was i would say a 7 if it functions properly. I am currently lasercutting my own and i hope i will make a better job than him/her.

Well put couple hundred miles on it since. Inspected and it’s still tight in there. And now have zero slack in range. I like it. Would do again.

Hy yesterday i got my 1199 and started working on it i found a preinstalled "throttle" spacer which did not fully eliminate the throttle play. I did not like the approach of it at all so i lasercuted my own see the pics.

i will cut some out for friends of mine to test, if they can use it i can send some for other people.

Love these threads! When I tried throttle spacers I just looked around the garage for 5 minutes and found something to put in there. Anything works: tape, hose cut offs, bits from the bottom of the kitchen drawer. You could 3d print them, gold plate them or whatever... I took mine out when I tried flipping the grip 180 (which in theory was a great solution but didnt work due to it being off the stop a couple of mm), then I thought meh just keep it simple and leave it stock and never noticed a difference that demanded they be put back in.

Cool man! Congratz, i got my 1199 about a month ago, already have 2k miles on it!

Thanks! I'm coming from a 999 that I've had for 6 years. Night and day difference lol. These are one hell of a bike and I find it so funny when people say panigales are uncomfortable. It's 10x more comfortable than my 999 and way smoother over bumps

I do hear the comfort thing a lot! I lucked into the performance seat this past week. Huge difference as it set you about 2in taller and the new seat actually grabs your ass. I was sliding back ALOT! at full throttle G’s. That also contributed to holding the bars to tight and headshake.

I also lay down a lot and that also makes it more comfortable.

Finally using your core to hold/support yourself is critical. If your leaning on your hands it’s gonna get painful quick.

Hey what’s your thoughts on the traction control? I’ve just turned it off. It was so damn invasive. The yellow light never turned off killing smooth shifts.

Don't mean to hog up this thread but yea it's definitely comfortable lol. Mine came with the race seat and its definitely more comfortable than the stock seat. I find that when cruising that I sit on the tip of the seat and its still comfortable but if I'm riding more aggressively then I sit a bit further back and grip the tank with my knees. I find that even with the taller seat the panigale is more upright than the 999 and more comfortable. I've already commuted to work a few times with it with no fatigue at all and I can't wait to road trip from NJ to Montreal whenever the borders open up lol.

I see the traction control kick in when using the quickshifter from 1st to 2nd. Doesn't always happen it's weird. Shifting is definitely not always the smoothest and thats when the traction light comes on. I have my tc on 6 but thats because I like the fact that it brings the wheel back down when the wheel comes up. I'm still getting used to the power band because It was very linear with the 999 where the front wheel would come up at 3.5k rpm and just float perfectly back down through the rev range. Whereas if I'm accelerating hard the 1199 will wheelie close to 7k rpm and come up pretty abruptly so until I learn the bike some more I'm gonna keep the traction control at a higher setting.

Anyone else make their own spacer? I’m going to try to find some stuff at my local hardware store to build my own this weekend for my monster 1200R.

Hey Guys, almost one year later but i got a 1199s too now :D I'm looking for a 3D Print file or anything that helps me build one myself. Someone has anything like that? maybe just a scetch in millimeter of how big exactly the peace should be?
