Hi All, it now time to replace my worn out tyres on my 2018 V4 for the first time, im not using a Ducati Dealer so if you don't mind i have a few questions.
I ride daily, yes commute I on my V4 in the Uk, as you know it comes with Corsa SP's but im thinking of changing to Rosso Corsa 2's just because i think they may be a better all round tyre and will be a lot better in the wet, what's your opinions on changing tyre type?
What are the torque setting for the front wheel and Back wheel including the fork pinch bolts.
Any advice on tyre choice and torque settings gratefully received.

I ran Rosso Corsa IIs during the rainy season in Washington. They aren't bad at all in the rain, never had an issue. Just make sure you do the tire calibration once they're on and it'll be smooth sailing, very few instances on the street where you'll be wishing you had the Supercorsas instead.

Got Corsa IIIs on my bike they seem fine. It's a 200/55/17 but i don't notice a big difference between the 200/60 and 200/55.

I've had all of the following, some of which many times:
SuperCorsa SP
Rosso Corsa
Rosso III
Angel GT

If you are commuting on a Pani in the UK which I assume is year round, you would want a tyre that heat's-up quickly and good in the wet and dirty roads. For that purpose, I'd suggest Rosso III's. You'll also get a bit more mileage with them.

Thank you so much for your replies it is a massive help and i can give it to my tyre fitter to ensure its done correctly, i went for Rosso Corsa 2's in the end as they were an exact match size wise and a good price, i hoping they will be a good all round tyre especially in the wet, thanks once again

I have just looked at the torque setting attachments, for the pinch bolts its says 6Nm for base Model and 19nm for S & Speciale, why is there a difference as effectively they are the same bike on the front wheel, what setting do i use, 6Nm seems very loose, im tempted to go with 19Nm, I have the base Model 2018

Dont do it, you'll damage the forks or break bolts. Stick to the manual- please!

There is nothing in the owners manual that tells you what the torque settings are for changing tyres, i cant find it anyway, I'm just going off what has been posted here, i have a base Model V4 and i was surprised in the difference in torque settings for the pinch bolts, so ill go off 6nm that was posted here unless anyone can tell me different, I'm going to see if my local dealer can confirm the settings
So Far i have the following: Are these Correct For the Base Model
Front Cailper Bolts - 45Nm
Front Pinch Bolts (Base Model) - 6Nm
Front Axle Nut - 63Nm
Rear Axle Nut - 230Nm
Tyre Pressure Single Rider
Front 33 Psi
Rear 30 Psi

I only ask as i am getting my tyres changed at a local tyre place and they don't have any bike info, its too far and costly to use my Ducati Dealer

I am using RC2's on my V4 and looked at the Streetfighter V4 which comes with RC2's stock as a good baseline to start from: 33.4 Front / 36.3 Rear

Just had an email from my Ducati Dealer for the Torque settings for the Base V4

Front Caliper Bolts 25Nm - Different from that posted
Front Pinch Bolts 9Nm - Different from that posted
Front Axle Nut 63Nm
Rear Axle Nut 230Nm

How does this compare with you all out there, i just want to get it right and i now have had 3 x different torque settings specs???????

did you have to make alot of suspension adjustments when you switched to the 55?

I have an 18 base V4 and my previous research shows;
Front axel 63nm
Rear axel 230nm
Front caliper 45nm
Pinch bolts 6nm

Some big differences there on the caliper and pinch bolts
