Timing Belt (959) has been sitting since 2017 but is new?

Hey, bought this 2017 959 panigale with 2000km on it and first service done in 2017. I'm planning to get the oil changed just in-case but the ducati dealership (not the one I bought it from) is saying that I should change the timing belt asap and it'll cost me 1k but it's barely used at all it's 2000km and im wondering if this is needed or not? Cheers,
 
There is no timing belt in a 959...... It's a chain/gear driven cams.

Tell him you'll pay more if he does it with a left handed screwdriver 👍
