What are you using?

i have a ser of the standard SINGLE TEMP CHICKEN HAWK

but wanted to upgrade to something nicer, like the digital pole position

is it worth it?

Or should i just go with normal DUAL TEMP WOODCRAFT OR MOTO D

The chicken hawk digital are the best and most durable tyre warmers I have used. You can't go wrong with them.

What temperature do you guys use?

175 or 195?

sorry for all the questions, might as well así, instead of doing it wrong for years
We run them close to maximum an hour before the race especially in the colder weather, 100deg (C) that is with slicks and around 60 with wets. Be aware that if you have carbon rims it's worth getting the wheel shields, alloy rims hold the heat a lot better than carbon.

I have MotoD single temp race warmers. I was also borrowing a friends Chicken Hawk digital and I did a 40 minute test with a surface temp gauge and MotoD was more consistent all around and about 10-15 degrees higher. You don't need dual temps unless you use street tires on warmers or leave your bike for an extended period of time on warmers like 2-3 hours.

You need to take into account the heat soak, the temperature of the rims, as this is where the heat is lost, the surface temperature of the tyre isn't really relevant as it's dropped considerably before you get out on track. I haven't used the MotoD so obviously can't comment on that brand but I have used most of the brand's on the market and chicken hawk were the best, IMO.
The best way to test is put both sets on for an hour then measure the temperature drop over a 15min period, we do that to simulate a red flag situation so we know what heat we have in the tyres if the race is restarted and we know if we can push hard from the first corner.
