Like we talked about that tire is a step up for you and you will probably be able to run it for 3 months(all season long) with way more grip than your Q3's..

Leon Im not sure who you told you that they are an endurance tyre but they are not. From Pirelli "they are a replacement for the SBK Pro, less tire wear and 75% of the grip of the SC Series DOT Race Tire, for track day riders who want more tire longevity without sacrificing grip" Its gonna have the same grip as the SBK Pro but it will be a DOT not a slick

I get my information from my Pirelli sponsor and a guy who has multiple champions in CMRA. I know what the Pirelli website says, but as a racer, I need performance and John hasn't given me bad advise yet.

The Pirellis have the best edge grip in the business. There were quite a few Dunlop guys who were running Dunlops and the tire vendor was late to the track. They had no choice but to buy a set of Pirellis to run a race. Lets just say after one race, they never went back to Dunlop.

yea i heard the front end is really good on them with more feedback than the Dunlops.

Like I said I'll give the Superbike SC a try and I do like Pirelli's but my biggest issue with Pirelli is the price. It would go along way if they were more competivly priced with the Dunlop's.

Yeah I would never have suggested that tire for you. My Tire guy gave me that info.. You should be running the WSBK Slicks lol.. But in Mark's case and at his pace the SC3 will do exactly what he wants..

please i dont want to turn this into a comparison or which tire is better or not everyone has their personal opinions so please refrain.

bridgestone just released a new tire the s21 hypersport. in the article in road racing world they said they compare to the q3 and the corsa rosso i thought the q3 and the rs10 (r10) and super corsa were in comparison .

my question is this then where does this new tire fall? what is the rs10 tire? are the s21 just replacing the s20 evo ? they also mention the v02 slick anybody try those?

im all confused.

also anybody running the superbike pro ?

also rumor is superbike pro is being discontinued by pirelli or should i say just renamed. i want to pull my hair out with this i cant keep up.

flobrand how are the nteck treating you?

Probably not much help but I am running the SC1 front and back on street and there wear rate does not seem too bad. Got to warm them up though. I have been shy to try any other brands due to the DTC being optimised for the pirelli range.

Speaking of tires. Time to get off here and go for a ride.

I feel the need for speed. Hope TC does not mind me using he line.

S21 is the replacement for the S20. Bridgestone will probably keep the older tire around fir a bit until stock is depleted like they did with the Bt-16's which the S20's replaced. The RS10's replaced the 003 hyper-performance tire. There are two versions the rs (racing steet) and the racing version you get only at track vendors. The RS versions are stock on R1's , ZX10R 's etc... I used the Bridgestone racing tires no problem on my small bikes with excellent results. Even used there slicks on a hot day without warmers . They are more similar to Pirelli than Michelin or Dunlop. They warm up quick and give good feedback. They slide as they wear but you always know where you are going. Honestly, I haven't tried them on my 1000's yet, but have them mounted on my ZX10R. Miles at Street and Competition in New York has good supply and used to be the Northeast Supplier of Pirellis. So he can give you an honest comparison. Cheers!

Here is a link discussing the new SC3 endurance tire.

Pirelli Introduces New SC3 Compound For Its Diablo Superbike Slicks

The new SC3 solution, available for the front and the rear is the longest lasting of those present in the Pirelli DIABLO™ Superbike 2016 range. This solution was developed after years of experience acquired in the FIM Endurance World Championship and from the many victories in competitions such as Le Mans 24 Hours or the Bol d’Or. It is designed for endurance racing but also for track day riders, which a high level of wear resistance and long lasting performance is needed.

When compared to the SC2 rear, which is similar in characteristics, the SC3 offers greater durability and more constant performance in all ranges of use, at the cost of outright lap times. On the front, the SC3 is versatile and offers constant performance. Compared to an SC1 it offers longer mileage but at the cost of grip and lap times, while if compared to the SC2 it continues to offers better mileage. The new SC3 is an excellent solution for endurance competition and track day riders and for example, Northern Europe Championships, where these new tires are less likely to tear with the cold During the year it will also be appearing in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship but only as a front option: the circuits the World Championship are raced on, the length of the races and the temperatures normally encountered on these occasions do not in fact make it a valid solution for the rear where, in almost all cases, riders prefer the higher performance SC0.

SC3 – Super Hard: This is the new entry for 2016 and the out-and-out sturdiest solution of the range. Developed above all for endurance activities it can however be used in all national championships where a compound particularly resistant both to abrasive asphalt and/or to low temperatures is needed.

· SC3 – Hard: New for 2016. Compared to the two previous solutions it certainly offers a higher mileage while remaining versatile. This could prove the best solution for the front tire on particularly demanding circuits.

Seems slicks only for now but i would expect them making the treaded version soon, or improve the grip and make this the new sc2 version someday

Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa tires in SC1, SC2 and SC3 are simple compound designations.

SC1 Soft, SC2 Medium and SC3 is hard compound....

You can play with different compounds on both ends of the bike like what I do...

There are some tracks I use SC2 Front and SC3 rear
Some tighter tracks you can use SC1 Front and SC2 rear
For fast sweeping tracks with many laps required (in a race) then SC3 on both ends is fine.

Bridgestone RS10 is the Racing Street(RS designation) tire which is in comparison with the Pirelli Supercorsa Diablo "SP" tires our Panigales come with when sold new in the Showroom floors.
SP stands for Sport Production which is similar to Bridgestones RS series.

The R10 is Bridgestone's old DOT full race tire
The RS10 is more street biased henced the RS - Racing Street version

Superbike SC slicks, supercorsa sc/sp DOT. That's how i remember it.

Or the Superbike Pro "slicks" that is not quite slicks compound. I always think of it as the SP of slicks line.
