Track Day Insurance

On a tangent, IMHO it would be better to keep your "special" for road use and get another V4 as a dedicated track bike. I see on Cycletrader quite a few under 20k and at that level with a few mods, still very rideable and you can afford to run it w/o insurance. For me, the fear of smearing 120k of beautiful carbon and alloy down the road would be a mental block.

Exactly, it’s the mental block aspect that I’m thinking about, even if you tune it out abs tell yourself .... it let’s go full send anyway it’s always gunna be there in the back of your mind

I mean I m blessed to make a good living, so I could replace it, but wow would it suck to have to lol

I’m not a racing team spending a sponsor’s money where a fiery crash gets more eyes on my company name so it’s still a win on advertisement money spent

The time, effort, and money that I put into this bike is not disposable marketing dollars.

But it’s also straight up wrong in my view to build a bike like this abs NOT track it. Maybe that means that I ride it at 7/10’s without it being insured, where I’d be more comfortable riding it at 9/10’s if it was insured.

It’s gunna see track time for sure, but I’ll get more out of the bike if it’s insured because I can turn off that little voice in my head telling me how much it would suck to spend that much money building a bike like that then crash it the first track day hahaha
