Track days turning off head lights and tail lights

On my V4, there are 2 screws that hold the seat down. Pull up the rear corners and unscrew and remove seat. On the left side under the seat, there are 2 connectors, 1 of them is for the tail/brake lights, unplug and you are good to go.

For the headlights, I'm still trying to figure out an easy way to disable.

trak tape works well when you are stock, but if you have any eliminators installed they don't fit well.

Best solution I can imagine is a roll of black gaff tape (doesn't leave residue) and a pair of scissors. I can tape up my bike in under 10 minutes and it looks much much better than trak tape.

do you have any codes going off when they are unplugged? I unplugged my tail lights on my 1290 Super Duke and had a light going off.

yeah that's what I will do on the head lights and then see if I can unplug the tail lights without any warning lights going off on the dash.

I didn't notice any. I was due for my 630 mile service so that light was on.

There are no codes but you will get a light on the dash. You can get a plug from Ducati Omaha to keep that from happening.

For the front headlights, you'll have to remove the nose fairing and unplug the harness in the front. Strongly recommend using TRAKBRAND or blackout tape and calling it a day.

Cool thanks guys! Track Tape Siam they would have the V4 Tape back instock next week. So I will most likely go that route. Would love to be able to just pull a fuse on her. Wish they had thought that one through as I'm sure many would be thrilled for that option.

Put the DRL lights in manual mode (on the settings menu), then just play with the light ´s switch, you can switch both projectors off and just have the "brows" on

I'll have to look at it tonight to see if I can make that work. I know I can leave the brow lights on and they won't say anything. thanks man!

Couldn’t find in the setting menu where the DRL set up is.

I pull the headlight fuse on my 1199R (left side of bike near battery). I just gaffer tape the tail light.

On my 1199, I could install a small switch (directly to the fuse), so I could turn on/off the headlight. Someone here did something similar and how?

Naaa unplugging it with throw a code I’m pretty sure. On my V4R I put it in Evo race and the tail light is out and no brake lights. Head lights I just keep the day time running lights on.
