The OEM bar ends on the Panigale are fairly heavy, so I don't know how much heavier aftermarket bar ends will be. I installed Grab On grip covers over the oem grips, which has increased the comfort. Grab On

VWJeff have you tried changing the seat??? I ride with the race seat which for me made the ergos on the Pani perfect for me. I tried the comfort seat as well but it sat me to high which lead to too much pressure on all my joints...wrists, elbows, etc.
Thought about that to ducky;)

vwjeff-

I rode about 3-4k miles on the street with my first two Panigales. Never again.
(My third one is track-only now).

Typical sportbike ergos...
(I'm one of the folks that just can't tolerate sportbike riding position for too long.
I also don't like to be whipped or have my balls crushed by spiked heels.)

Also- the high-rpm nature of the SQ isn't ideal for sane street riding.

Loving my 821 Hyper SP, 4k miles later.
A great real-world street bike.
Slightly forward of neutral seating position.
The 11 deg TS pumps out nice usable torque. Very enjoyable.

And... don't kill me-
but the Hyper has challenged the Pani for 'more fun' honors on the track...

Fahrvergnügen type .....
just sayin'...

How is the fueling on the Hyper.???.The Diavel TS was terrible...

The initial bit of throttle (when unmodified) was a bit weird at first
for a guy like me that never used RBW before.

The factory had sent out revised maps that helped.

Now after full Termi, air filter and accompanying mappage: it feels great.
I have no complaints.

The older Desmodue is pretty choppy at "around town." At speed and on the throttle it's very good...linear w/o any noticeable power dips. My 12 is stock. I had a chance to ride one w/full exhaust, bazaaz, and custom tune and it has me saving my $$$.

Hi all, new to this forum and wondered if I can pick the brains of the 1199 owners please. Ive rode bikes for 13 years, I'm now nearly 30. I've got an 848 evo and feel really comfortable with it, ie feel I can ride it well. Done quite a few track days and it seems to smoke my mates :) Anyway... what I suppose I'm trying to ask you guys is..... are 1199 's to much of a handful? Will it kill me quick lol? I understand that I'm not Rossi and won't be able to use it to its full potential. But at the same time I want to be able to ride it well, not it riding me lol! I've saved up for a panigale s from the first day I ever saw one! I plan to test ride one real soon when weather gets a touch warmer here in uk. In march the new reg comes out for 14 plate and my plan was buy one for my 30th. My plan was to use the 848 on track, as I can't afford to bin a panigale. Thought about an 899 but for some reason it doesn't make my mouth water like the bigger one. Hearing so many mixed reviews on the 1199, it's melting my brain!! Please help guys! Thank you :)
