Does anyone know where I can find the TuneBoy tune file(s) for the 1299? The current download for the software only contains the tune files for the 1199. All I really want to do is turn off the 600 mile service indicator.

Nature of the beast I suppose. I think their website is fairly straightforward, but have not dealt with them.

Might I ask why you're interested in a new map for the 1299?
I simply wish to turn off my 600 mile service indicator. I have the tuneboy hardware that I used on my Multistrada. I just purchased the tune key so I can turn off the service indicator without having to visit the dealer.

Got it. Isn't it more cost effective to go to the dealership and pay the $20.00 to have them turn off the service indicator? I think tuneboy has cruise control too. I'm interested because I am trying to understand why people would tune/re-map a bike with this kind of power. Does the bike open up and become more alive with a good tune/better software etc.

Not trying to give you a hard time or hit you with 100 questions.

i cannot speak for the 1299, but the fueling and rideability of the bike (1199) has become way better with a different map.

also power delivery. not the abrupt jump in torque (vtec kicking in ;) )

the cruise control is pure gold. long boring stretches on the highway - this thing is on.

No problem. The cost was only $120, and now I have the ability to turn off the service indicators when I wish. It's a hassle to ride or drive (trailer) to the dealer that's 2 hours away. So if you count time and gas, it's not that much of a cost. I really don't need extra power, but I can now load other maps if I so choose.

I used the TuneBoy quick shifter and cruise control on my Multistrada it worked very well.

Indy - Cruise Control, reset service light, earlier cooling fan in traffic, adjustable quick shifter settings and custom fuel/ign maps are the main advantages. Having the 1199 properly mapped generally made a noticeable difference (not just flashing someone else's map in).

Also waiting on Cruise & Tune files, nothing from Tuneboy. Perhaps if anyone gets them on here they could share with everyone else.

most bikes these days benefit from remapping, unless you are very concerned about the environment.

There's the optimum map, then it has to be changed to meet Euro 3/EPA regulations for emissions and sound, usually leaned out. And the whole exhaust system ends up being a compromise too.

I don't need more peak power than stock. What I do need is the very best midrange fueling possible to make the most of the increased displacement, and better low range fueling that may be worse emissions-wise, but reduce low-speed stutter.

I received my Tuneboy kit in the mail this morning - I bought it during their May sale (ended 31 May). AFAIK the Cruise and CruiseAndTune files for the 1299 are available, but they weren't included in the kit (oversight) and aren't on the website for download. I've contacted Tuneboy about this this afternoon and Emma is going to be get the files to me. BTW, there's no Trim files yet for the 1299 as they haven't had a bike on the dyno yet.

If they send you a link to the 1299 tune files, could you post it here? I also sent an email to Emma at Tuneboy a few days ago, but haven't heard back yet.

Did you go for the tuneboy QS?

Just curious is Tuneboy mapping a lot different than getting a RB race module in ref to the AFR? Which is better in terms of performance or are they a good combination to be used with each other?

No. I can't fault the stock DQS, so I'll be sticking with that. Tuneboy implied in their correspondence that they're not offering QS for 1299 for the very same reason. I assume the Tuneboy software is still capable of introducing QS and they're simply not offering the linkage/microswitch (unless you specifically ask for it).

Agreed, apparently you can tweek the DQS thru the tuneboy on one setting, can't wait to get mine thru the post.

You can change the delay on upshift.

I haven't seen where this has been modified for the up/down shifter of the 1299.

Ultimately, TuneBoy will have to get a 1299 to map and adjust. So any of you kangaroo/toilet water turns the wrong way types want to volunteer your ride we would appreciate it. ;)

Or you guys could just find a tuner with a dyno and get a custom map done then upload that for everyone :p

I just heard from Emma at TuneBoy. Evidently they still need to check one of the maps and, therefore, the 1299 files are not ready after all. So I'm sat here with the kit but no tunes. I'm ok to wait a little as I have plenty of other things going on. Emma didn't really give an ETA on when the tunes would be ready. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
