hi all,
as far as i know the rear OEM turn-signals have 0,68 W each.
i'd like to replace them with small LED signals (3 W each).
is there any danger installing those ???
kind rgds from vienna/austria

Nope! They are all LEDs already :D

On S/Tric models, you won't find a single bulb. Base only on low/high beam.

thanks for your fast reply Xbox.
obviously i don't need any resistors - because the OEM signals are also LED's.
and i don't have to worry that the higher power consumption (3W vs 0,68W) will burn my relay ?

Sorry dude, you already new the stock signals were LED, I just realised that re-reading your post.

Lights run on a 10A fuse, so at 12V, that gives you a lot of Watts to play with :p

Have a look at the wiring schematic and fuse box config in the Owners Guide, but I think you'll be good.

led turn signal

I have designedaa 8 strip sequential led turn sgnal system that will flush mount down the sides of each rear. Lens plastic is red in color. It will light red when brakes are applied and signal in with amber for turn signal. So far its 8 strips and are 2.5 inches long each. When my bike arrives I will begin on this right away and send pics ;-)I

wow ... sounds great what you've been designing.
PLEASE don't forget to post your pic's as soon as you got yr bike and installed the LEDs !!!
