It will cost around $100K USD if they make it lol. Looks cool though. Everything except the body work looks like a refreshed 999

Video description says it's the artists creation, not anything put forth by Audi/Ducati. Looks epic though. I have to think that going to a V4 is in Ducati's future at some point. Times change, traditions fade away. if they can get rid of the trellis, they can switch the motor.

Not gonna happen. Expertise (and brand value) is in twins.

Of course, with Ducati currently an Audi vanity project, it's possible they (Audi) could muck around with it and kill it off. But aside from some one-off, special run stuff (DD16 RR or SuperMono anyone?), the day Audi-Ducati starts mass marketing a V4 is the day Audi acknowledges they killed the brand and are flailing around in desperation for something to save it.

But if you're one of those people wishing/hoping that Ducati starts putting out V4s as their central/primary engine plant, I'd suggest you shuffle on over to Mediocrity Metropolis (Honda, Kawi, BMW, et. al.) to avoid what I suspect will be a long wait.

Yeah, just an artist's concept, but I think it looks good. I guess the agreement between Audi and Ducati, precludes Audi from putting their name on a motorcycle.

Still.. A V4 engine and looking like that... Maybe Ducati will catch wind of this and head in that direction?

Mediocrity Metropolis!!! I love it. So true...

A V4 option would be great. Maybe purchase Aprilia or just hire their engineers/managers like in MotoGP.

I have owned and raced Ducatis in the past and have though about getting a 1299 for racing in 2015-2016. The issue is that it feels like cheating, like a girl in co-ed soccer and her goals are worth x1.3 that of a men's goal.

It's a whole lot easier to make a V4 competitive than a twin. So Ducati could do this easy. Especially with Audi help. The Twins will forever be the best Ducati offers for the street and track, but if you're going to make more Homologation Specials, it's about time for a V4.

But Ducati needs to work on the looks more for Audi. The nose should be more GP or Panigale like. One or the other, don't mix both. It's ok for bikes to still have a tail. I'd recommend making the tail a hair more substantial. And the engine is hideous. Bring the fairing back more and cover it up.

I'd also lower the tip of the nose more. It's cool as heck watching people bend over in front of my parked Panigale wondering how the aimed down "mean looking" lights, light up anything.

Looks awesome! If I weren't empty from fucking my wife 30min ago I'd have jizzed all over my laptop. :)
