Recently purchased an 1199R from ducati with a full Termi system on it which the previous owner fitted.. I have asked the dealership if the upmap is already installed on the bike and they said ‘yes’ but how can i verify that? Is there anything i can check to see if the map is installed or is there any obvious telltale signs thats its on there when i switch the ignition on.? Maybe on the TFT?

cheers

I recently uploaded the upmap t800 full race map to my 1199 with Termi full race system, but I get no dash splash message. 100% certain my map procedure was done correctly. My iPad indicated procedure successful and the bike runs great.

Perhaps the Upmap T800 does not provide a dash message, unlike the Ducati DDS upmapping provides?

Greg.

T800 will trash the race message.

Makes no sense. My bike never had the race message. Now that I’ve flashed it with T800, I still see no dash message. Just wondering if this is normal.

Depending on the motorcycle model and the exhaust, when you update the ecu with the Upmap, a message will appear on the display when it is turned on or not.
It can be consulted on the website UpMap - Store - Next level for passion - UpMap - Need 4 Power
On my Panigale 1199 with termignoni d170 full exhaust no message appears when turning on.
You can check that it is correct using the computer and the Ducati or Texa tool.

Hi Madur, i have the same exhaust and was wondering what your feedback was before and after the upmap?

when install the escape automatically do the upmap.
I needed to remove the exhaust valve, the lamba and the pair probes.
Sorry I can't comment on the difference.
To be honest, on these powerful motorcycles, especially the twin cylinders, it is difficult to squeeze them enough to be able to perceive a few more hp.
I understand that this way everything will be more optimized.
Of course, I discarded any other option that was not original to Ducati, I don't want any problems.

Hi guys, need your advice please.

I recently bought a used 2020 SF V4S. When I turn on the ignition, is showed Racing Pro. I understand that this is because the bike had been flashed with possibly a T800 tune. However the bike comes with the original stock exhaust.

My question is, since it is not running on the intended exhaust system, will the current map affect the performance of the bike in a negative way? And if so, is there any way that I can delete this map?

Thanks in advance for your advice guys 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻

The previous owner probably removed the exhaust to sell it or for a new bike, if that's the case he will not be able to flash the new bike because that race map is on your bike and the stock map is in the upmap key that he should have. (When someome installs the exhaust it comes with a device (upmap key) that connects to the bike and the race map is sent to the bike and the stock map sent to the key (or maybe not).
I would ask the previous owner to look for the upmap key so you can give him back the race map and you can have the stock map back (turning ignition while de upmap is connected to the diagnostics plug), or just go to the dealer, I believe they can stock the bike but not "race it" without the upmap key.
Another option is get the t800, you can map stock flash with it as well as race ones.

The bike might be running too rich in fuel with that stock exhaust and race map. Which is usually safe but not to the wallet.

Hi Nesmsm! Thank you so much for the advice!

Ok I’m hoping at least he did the UpMap tune with the stock exhaust. Else I’m screwed. And I cannot get hold of him because I do not know who he is, I bought the SF from a bike dealer :( I should have checked more thoroughly when I viewed the bike. Sigh…

What’s the indication of my bike running too rich as a result of the tune but without the intended aftermarket exhaust?

Thank you once again! 🙏🏻

Running too rich means more consumption, less performance, bike might hesitate on sudden acceleration, more carbon deposits, fuel smell. If it runs fine I say use it but start looking for a ducati dealership or just buy the t800 upmap, it's like $400 I think, or an exhaust.
