I recently purchased a RapidBike module from another forum member and am about to do the install. My questions are this:

1. Do I just install and ride? I saw at the end of the instructions a computer screen shot of a map and the guidance to make sure I have the proper map selected for my exhaust. I have a full Termi setup and the MWR filter.

2. Do I need to download software to my laptop?

3. Is it OK that it ran on someone elses bike for a few hundred miles? I am assuming it will simply keep learning on my bike now.

I appreciate the help!

I'm not the best expert but I installed one on my bike. As long as the other bike was an 1199 and the harness was included with the module, you should be good to go.
The system learns so if the other bike had a different exhaust, the RB will adjust to your bike, just like you thought.
I love mine...good choice.

1- If installed you need to make sure of settings and proper map!
2- You can download the free software by registering your module , you need the serial number on the back of it to register, however if the serial number has been used to register it by the previous owner you need a e-mail reset.
3- If both bike are just about the same yes but I would still consider and highly recommend #1

if you need more info, you might wanna think about contacting the proper people who would love to help you out :)

PS: where did the module come from, USA or a different country?

It was on an 1199 in Los Angeles area. I did register the module online. I will try to download the software.

Everything is installed. What map do I load for a 2013 1199S Tricolore with full Termi exhaust and MWR air filter? I see maps for 1199_STD, STD1, MOD1, MOD2 etc. At the bottom of the Rapid bike software it says only Ducati 1199 and according to the instructions, it should say 1199_ecu-dp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Never mind. I called Yaman and he was great!!! He very patiently walked me through the whole process and made sure everything was ok. I am very impressed with the support, professional courtesy and friendliness. I wholeheartedly recommend this product and if anyone is on the fence, pull the trigger. Just go to CyclePro and and buy the product.

Is there a "throttle gains" map to reposition 100% throttle on the grip? I'm waiting on the Rexxer guy to email me back which is getting frustrating after a week of waiting

Is it better to run Block off plates with the Rapid Bike? Does it make a difference?

Thanks.

I just realized this question was asked some time ago! but It won't hurt if you did use the block off plates, however it is not necessary.
