looks like he has both feet down flat but then decides against it

Hey guys, just had a random thought pop up. I'm waiting for my V2 to show up, still have a few more weeks until it does, but in the mean time I was wondering how tall are you guys and are you able to have both feet planted flat while sitting on the bike at a light?

Im 5'7" and i get the balls of my feet down. I dont find it an issue. This is my first bike so it was sketchy at first getting use to it. Its been a bit more than a month and i cant stop riding it. Its currently at my local ducati getting the full akra, clear clutch, grips, and rizoma stealth mirrors and light unit kit. Still waiting on my full six carbon fiber from motomillion. Been a month now lol still hasnt shipped out.

5’ 7” with a 28” inside leg. And no. Can’t reach the floor at all. Had the bike lowered about 1.5” (1” from the seat, 1/2” suspension).
I can now get either 2 toes down or the balls of one of my feet. Prior to the lowering I couldn’t reach the floor at all.

Wow that's a very nice first bike, congrats. My NRC tail tidy is on it's way too, ordered it a week ago and it just shipped today. I'm on the fence about the Akra, I think I'll end up doing it but I'm going to wait a while to see how the stock one sounds after breaking the bike in. Some people say it sounds decent so I'm curious. I think I read a thread about the motomillion shipping delays, apparently they're pretty slow right now.

Nice, glad to hear you found a way to make it work.

I’m roughly the same (height and inseam) welcome to the tip toe club hahaha.
I was hesitant to order my comfort seat but it is so nice compared to the stock one even though it is thicker, adding to the seat height issue, but it does compress some as it has softer foam.
If needed, just slide to one side slightly at a stop and plant one foot down.

Yeah I seem to hear this often. Guess I'll find out after I ride the bike for a while.
I agree. The V2 stock exhaust was louder than I expected but sounds terrible compared to what a nice, deep, V-twin should sound like. Of course, that is because the stock exhaust is street legal. A nice aftermarket pipe like the Akra or Arrow fixes that issues but adds to the sound level. :)

to me the stock exhaust sounds like dog ..... lol. i cant wait to hear what my v2 sounds like in person with the full akra. I also told them to remove the DB killer :D. I leave for work at 4 am in the morning. My neighbors are gonna hate me even more now. ( i drive a stage 2 F10 M5 with catless downpipes)

Yeah I don't have an issue with noise, I like a loud exhaust but tone is equally important. I'm like 90% sure I'll end up with the Akra pipe at some point.

Nice, I'm jealous. My patience is wearing super thin waiting for this bike. Those are nice cars, you don't have a burble tune do you?

it use to have a super aggresive burble tune but i had my tuner remove that. The car still has a burble but not much.

Oh man some of the BMW's around here have such loud ones. I think it's nice when it does it a few times on decel, like two or three pops but the guys here oh man its obnoxious. Literally sounds like loud pops the whole time they're on decel. I think the Akra pipe does a few on the V2 as well, sounds so good.

Yeah i cant wait! i think im gonna try to wrap my bike. Im watching videos on how to do it properly. No wrap shops around here wanna do it because of high failure rate.

I was looking into some PPF for the front end at least but same issue, nobody wants to touch it.

You guys coming off the Gixxer 600's and R6's should probably get some lowering links made for these things.

I think 5' 10" is blabla

It's my personal preference that I'm able to have both my feet down while backing it up.

Blablabla
Just do like Ed does and have the old lady back it up for you!

And adjust the valves n .... like that : )

Where those timing tools buddy?

This thread is rad, thx for the laughs

Wow, looks like all the children got some internet access today. Go troll elsewhere.

Yup because I'm getting my first Ducati, haven't owned one before. Why is it relevant how long I've been here? I had a question about the bike I'm buying, asked it on a forum with other owners, the mature ones who actually own one were able to respond pretty quickly with a simple and straight answer. Of course it's the internet so there are bound to be a few clowns. I just have a hard time understanding why you feel the need to pipe up with your opinion if it's not a topic you're interested in. You can go create a thread about whatever it is you feel is worth discussing on an internet forum. You may want to try to take things a little less seriously, it's just an internet forum for a motorcycle.
