V2 Panigale 2020 Akropovic - Is it worth the price?

I'll put another spin on it, if I were to sell my bike I would remove the Akra and put the standard exhaust back on. Id get the same money and have an Akra to sell.

I’ll put a spin on that -

Why would I buy yer bike when I can buy the one next to it, the one with the fancy exhau$t, for the same price?

Enjoy the ride whatever you decide : )

No exhaust is worth 8k, Christ I put full exhaust on my z06 for 1500.00, 8k for cycle exhaust? Acro and Ducati and smoking some great meth to figure that price out. Do a slip on and it’s in the tuning brother, I’m hearing great things about this guy Phil here, so I’m deff gonna hit him up for ideas.

eventually i will do the Phil thing but a V4 seems like a better value over a V2 with a pipe. I'm a compression braking kinda guy so restriction in the exhaust is a good thing for my style of riding.

Most people don't need a pipe, they want one and there is nothing wrong with that. You wont ride much faster unless you commit to a few more upgrades. I know riders who prefer stock pipes because the noise isnt a distraction but aesthetics are another thing and I think the Akra's are styled well, you wont find an ugly can in their range. The prices are ridiculous for a bit of welded tube but then again plenty of people think nothing of blowing 500 bucks on a Friday night out so each to their own. I'll also stand by my previous comment that an expensive pipe doesn't add much value to a bike, especially as it gets older, but for sure discerning buyers would go for 8k Akra over stock all things being equal.

The short version of the above is, if you have the $$ get the Akras but dont expect to get your money back, these are toys not investments

To make the point theres a 2020 V4s in the classifieds with 1000 miles and 10k of bling including an akra- asking about new price and probably accepting a few k less. Pretty big hit considering

I had an Akrapovic titanium full system on my 1299s. Very bling at a standstill (see icon) but way too loud for street riding (and not in a good way like the old Termignonis) but also, because of track Db limits in the U.K., I couldn’t do track days with it either. Stuck with stock on my V4 and will do the same with my V2

Akra is Ducati parts now so the price jumps to Ducati dollars. I could put a full system on a r1 for 1500.00 so why the difference? Also they push akra so much cause the more they sell the more Ducati’s they get to sell at the dealership. Any exhaust will gain gains, it’s all in the tuning period.

stock is absolutely fine, Pani exhausts are neat, sound good and work well. More hp is always nice but do you really need it? No one can tell you if an akra is worth it, only you can do that. Will it increase power and make noise- yes but more noise than power.

Impossible to justify. They are crazy expensive! But I felt compelled to put them on my V2. IMO they look so good and really elevate the overall look of the bike. Sound (perhaps too loud for some) is better than stock and so is performance, but it was really the titanium and carbon that I couldn’t say no to! Sadly selling my V2, but do the again on the next bike.

It’s a bit like having a model gf who is crazy in bed.... yes it’s gonna cost you more to run than the girl next door but.... the looks you will get when out and the satisfaction of riding it.

did I just write this?I need to go to confession...

Ha ha! I know what you mean. I think I am past the stage where I have to have the best bike in Squires car park.

I’m all seriousness, here in London we are deep in lockdown and I have my baby under cover... can’t wait for the spring

A top fuel bike only makes a few passes in a day

Where a bracket or index bike might make 8 or more

Quality of the ride vs quantity

My bike is gonna look and sound like an abomination

It’s about the experience...

Enjoy yours : )

Btw I am surprised at you guys. Almost to page 5 and no one ever asked dude which Akra full system he was considering. Under belly or under tail? I saw that someone did mention goals but Mick I mean Mark never responded to that. Got people trying to talk him into everything from a slip on to a V4. Lol. What are your goals Mark? What do you wish to accomplish by adding either one of those $7k aus Akra systems? I’m also curious why you choose Akra? I have no idea what your answers to those questions are Mark, and I doubt I’ll ever find out being you were only here for 24 hours, but I’m gonna jump out on a limb and say screw Akra. For that kind of money you could probably have a system custom built to your own specs. Here’s a sneak preview of the system I am having built:

...looking at the Akrapovic pipe as an option (2020 Panigale V2) , I can say its not cheap. With the bike coming in around RRP of 22k AUD and the full pipe system around 7k, I need to ask the question is it really worth the extra coin?
The sky is the limit on bling and that's a personal thing.
That same 7k may have bought you a V4 with 50 more hp.
Personally, lighter forged wheels would be better money spent for your Panigale V2.

if you can afford it i believe its worth it, its the best looking system out there and it sounds amazing.
It compliments the bikes natural curves and you can always hold your head high knowing you got the best money can buy.
