V2 Suspension Improvements

I’m 170 as well. The cartridges made a night and day difference
What spring did you go with for those Andreani cartridges? The stock fork springs on my V2 are too soft for me and bottom out when I hard brake (170 lbs without gear). I plan on putting those cartridges in my cafe racer but had not thought about them for the V2. I was going to just replace the springs.

I just gave them my weight and skill level and they send me the cartridges set up accordingly

Well, reporting back I swapped her ...... OEM "steering dampener" for an Ohlins unit and handling steering has improved significantly. I also swapped tires over to the Michelin Power GP's (which I also am running on my V4) and I am going out for a ride today to scrub them in.

The V2's OEM dampener is a piece of ..... I can't believe Sachs made something so crappy. A black Ohlins dampener looks great on the white bike.

Hopefully, this will help her gain some confidence in the bike's handling and feedback. I think the triangulated shape of the Pirelli Tires and carcass stiffness contribute to the previous observations.

Tire choice for the street is important and if I was spending time on the track I think a set of Dunlop Q4's or certainly Bridgestone RS would be a good move.

So you have a V2 and V4S? Your signature does not mention a V2, so I wanted to be sure you were saying that the new steering damper helped your V2. I am looking to replace the steering damper on my V2, but have not looked at the options out there. Does the Ohlins have both high and low-speed adjustments? I loved the low-speed adjustment on my Scotts steering damper on my older Honda 929 years back and hate how stiff and crackly the V2's damper is (at low speed). The silver damper is a poor choice as well since it reflects in the gauges during the day. If nothing else, I'll paint the stock one black for now.

Yes, as I have described previously the 2020 V2 is my GF bike. I have a 2020 V4s.

I picked up the Ohlins black dampener from Bellissimoto: Ducabike Ohlins Steering Damper for Panigale V4 / V2 / 1299 / 1199 / 959 / 899, & Superleggera

I am not sure about the different high/ low speed adjustments as I haven't read the manual. I just mounted it up and set the knob around halfway in the middle setting. The OEM unit doesn't work well and sticks and moves quickly then slows down etc.

Swapping the unit out It really helped her enjoy the bike and now, and with the Michelin Power GP's, the bike feels much better to me as well.

I set the tire calibration from the dash and it's a better handling bike for her now.

Up next is the Arrow slip-on system I ordered for her Christmas gift.
