V2 vs V4(S) - which one gives out more heat

Ducati Forum

The temp warning of the V4(R) starts at 160°C. I think also on standard/S?
Eni Antifreeze Spezial 12 ++ has a boiling point of 160°C. use pure, says ducati.
for a good reason it has a "bar"temp gauge, "Some of these answers would unsettle the population", as a german politician said.
does DDA log the temps?
if, stictly speaking, "track ready" includes the use of, more or less, pure water. How to do?
V2 is hotter? don't think so

I noticed a big drop in heat on my V4S after changing to full Akra. Riding in shorts and t-shirts are for squids.
that's the next step... am not looking for more power or sound...but if the akra system helps drop in heat, i will get it. I was told by someone that it's not much of difference. And I might start feeling heat on foot too :S but the bike cools off much quick!

I own the 2020 BMW S1000RR and a 2020 V4 S. If you are only worried about heat and comfort then you should look harder at the BMW. Now with that being said, the V4S has a much better feeling of raw power and get up and go. Yes, the V4S does run pretty hot and wouldnt recommend riding it in the city for stop and go traffic. Yes, the Akro exhaust does reduce some of the heat. I've also ceramic coated my exhaust pipes, and running Carbon fiber covers and it does help as well.

the 2020 V4S is HOT but I manage with the Alpinestars mesh pants. I commute 6 days a week with the bike, 12 months out of the year (first winter with V4S coming up) and so far it has been manageable. Luckily one can lane split/filter in California so I am never stuck in traffic long though

i have to correct my above statement. the "use pure" is for premixed coolant i think.

because of the bar display i have obd logged the values.
this is a stock v4r with just radiator protection.
forgot to add the ambient temp. was warm not very hot. ~25°C or so.
while driving 95-104°C
at stop up to 120°C

so, the question is...
with plain water at 120°C i need a 2Bar radiator cap.
but the temperature should fall. how much?
i will test a 1.8bar cap and log again. we will see.
