Was getting ready to put the flywheel back on my motor and noticed that the spag or clutch (whatever you want to call it) for the stater gear did not feel smooth when rotating in the unlocked direction. It still locks up fine but I pulled it apart and this what it looks like:
The gear looks bad but the outer race part looks even worse. It only has 7400 miles on it. What gives? Is this normal? I started to look up what it would cost to replace all three pieces and just the gear itself is over $200. I’m prolly gonna run this one what is the worst thing that happens when they quit? Bike just won’t start, right? Any advice is appreciated. Thx
