V2 Worn Sprag - How long?

Was getting ready to put the flywheel back on my motor and noticed that the spag or clutch (whatever you want to call it) for the stater gear did not feel smooth when rotating in the unlocked direction. It still locks up fine but I pulled it apart and this what it looks like:

The gear looks bad but the outer race part looks even worse. It only has 7400 miles on it. What gives? Is this normal? I started to look up what it would cost to replace all three pieces and just the gear itself is over $200. I’m prolly gonna run this one what is the worst thing that happens when they quit? Bike just won’t start, right? Any advice is appreciated. Thx
 
Ok good. Thx. It’s gotta create some vibration at high rpm huh? Practically vibrates spinning it in my hand
 
Not on the gear but the race has divots. Guessing 1 or 2 tenths deep
 
Yeah well it’s over $600 for all 3 pieces so I just cleaned it all really well, assembled and lubed it, and it feels fine now : )

*might be a good excuse you guys can use on your wives? “Why do buy that light flywheel honey?” Well, I had to take it apart to clean the sprag so while I was in there...
