Have any of you people who's V4 has the Akrapovic exhaust system (Either full or slip on) with the replaced the lower fairings to suit, had any problems with each time the side stand is used catching the fairings?

Mine is really annoying and looking at the fairing whilst the bike is on the rear wheel stand, cannot be adjusted to stop without heating up and forming a new angle to the lower fairing - This is something that should have been dealt with by Ducati especially at the cost of the exhaust system.

Yep. Got the same problem. I am ending up using my hands to pull the side stand down.

Absolutely no problem with mine. It was fitted at the dealer, so sounds like yours may need an adjustment....... sorry stating the obvious I know

Mine was fitted at dealers and been back for adjustment - They cannot stop it catching and have emailed Ducati.

Their reply was that they haven't seen this problem before and yet they not offering another set of fairings to try

I have the same issue as the it catches slightly on the body work. I am still able to put the kick stand down so I have not mentioned it to my dealer.

Mine was fitted by the dealer and it catches on the side stand, making it hard to get the stand down with your heel.
Tried numerous times to refit it but no success.

I attacked it with a dremmel cutting disc and cut about 5 mm off the cutout then just touched it up with some Matt black paint. All fine now and you can’t see any difference.

It shouldn’t be like this but I just couldn’t be bothered getting it fixed by the dealer.

I had the same issue. The problem is that the lower fairing is too flexible and it doesn't keep its shape.

Agreed. I noticed it immediately upon delivery. There isn't anything to adjust.

I applied a precut 3M adhesive-backed plastic rectangle to the area and wrapped it over the edge and onto the inside (backside) area so the kickstand isn't actually marring the lower fairing. The flash makes it look like it doesn't match, but I actually had to feel for the edge to take the picture as it blends in so well.

I might do something more ambitious later, but for now this will do.

I was contemplating epoxying a loop to the backside of the area and pulling it towards the center and affixing it with a small wire tire or even a zip tie. It hasn't been very high on my priority list, but if I do something I'll make sure to post it up.

I wound up trimming the belly pan using a reciprocating sander. Turned out great, looks factory.

So you basically "pulled" the left lower closer towards the center of the bike from below by trimming the belly pan?

San

... You are making it sound complicated. I just slightly enlarged the opening by sending down lower belly pan.

I did now 10000 kilometers with the Akrapovic exhaust, the metal heat shield and the glued side have seperated... It looks awful for this high price....
