And thanks to @CoolSparky for the videos

“I did start the bike and the exhaust sounds great. It has a deeper tone than stock and definitely louder. As you're standing next to it you can feel the exhaust pulses hitting your chest.”

Is the mesh intended to arrest flames or u think she’ll be a fire breathing monster?

I doubt it's spitting flames since it's still on stock fuel mapping.

Plan right now is to take it to the dyno to ensure it's not running too lean but I think everything is pretty much closed due to bat flu.

I'll also mention that the bike feels exactly the same as it did before the cored exhaust was put on. Part throttle response is perfect, no hesitation at any point in the rpm band, and I'm sure it's running at least a little leaner but there's no perceptible increase in heat.

dude hit up @///SLR-TUNING he’s in Miami and get it dialed in perfectly!

or come over to @vcyclenut in Fort Myers and have him dial it in. We need a good tuner here on the forum to develop a solution for these bikes. I think the cores exhaust is the way to go for regular ppl like myself

I've spoken to @vcyclenut already but not @///SLR-TUNING. I've also spoken to TuneBoy and Rexxer, both of whom now have tuning solutions for the V4.

That looks really cool! Any thoughts of doing the oem covers in black.

I prefer to keep the silver for now but the all-black look is nice as well.

Interested, just curious on what the benefits it would have besides looking awesome? And is it much louder than stock too? (couldn't tell much difference from video)

yeah, it doesn't come out in the vid.

it's lighter, louder, you lose the risk of busting the exhaust when the flapper valve is closed and the flow is free'd up. 2.jpg

here's what it looks like with black covers

this is one of the potential failures on the stock cans:

during v=certain speeds, to achieve EPA noise levels, the valve closes the first chamber after the cats where the hot gases accumulate and have to pass through a much smaller tube into another chamber.

my mod eliminates this risk
