Hi I need some help to clarify if the exhaust flapper is functioning correctly on my V4s 2020 with stock exhaust.
My understanding is its purey to control noise levels. On startup the servo should be heard as it closes the flapper and at a certain rpm (around 3000 or 4000) the flapper should open and presumably their should be an increase in noise.
I'm assuming this happens whether the bike is stationary or not otherwise the emissions tester would have to run with his meter
Can someone do a video demonstrating the above behaviour? That would be really helpful as I don't know anyone with a V4 whose kept their stock exhaust.
What I am experiencing is in < 4000 rpm if I release the throttle fully is a clapping sound although sometimes I think it could be the chain jumping. Also at times I could be doing 4000 rpm and the engine goes from rumbling to quiet and if I change the rpm its starts to rumble again.
Probably not related but I'm also stalling this bike a lot when pulling away and moving very slowly there seems to be dip in revs on the very first part of the throttle twist. Normally I would expect to roil in 2 gear on a flat road with no throttle and slip clutch and slowly twist the throttle and the bike should not stall.
