The recall is true, the problem of gas tank pressure and shooting gas out of the tank is true, it happened to mine.
However I don't think that was the cause of the fire, because he was riding when he noticed the fire.

Yeah all good, the first time it happened I got a face full of gas.. Ducati and my dealer were amazing, Ducati replaced my helmet (which was 4 years old) with a brand new $2000 helmet. My dealer had the bike in and fixed within a few hours and they tore the plastic off, cleaned and waxed everything and deliver it back to me all within the same day I dropped it off
