is that a different tank?
Have you tried the mass damper yet on track?
I am curious if it is effective; it appears so small compared to what's inside the "lunch-box" rear-end of the MotoGP Ducati machines.
I've got all the standard upgrades: race fairings, exhaust, Spider rearsets and Jetprime switches. But also got a race seat with tank extension, it's one of the best single upgrades I've done.View attachment 33831
Are running custom dynamic, dynamic or fixed (setup yourself). I got the geometry setup better I could finally get better feel. I have to admit this bike can be quite a handful when the pace gets above what I consider 60-70%.race only.. most helpful mods were geometry changes (by far), cost nothing except tracktime and frustration.. susp/electronics took a bit to get right.. most other mods were expensive and mostly useless (cosmetic).. probably do it again anyway.. wouldnt necessarily recommend racing this, difficult to ride (compared to M1, RSV4 CBR.., actually most any other bike).. also expensive (and so far unreliable).. to go fast, you need to be very fit.. wanted to set the thing on fire numerous times and the thing tries hard to spit me off nearly every single lap., but., when it all comes together.. i fkn love it..

@MaverickiB did you go straight for the tank cover/extension or have you tried Race Seats extender?
I'm waiting on my Race Seat extender to arrive. Hoping it makes it easier for me to lock into the bike and keep my weight off the bars under braking, it just doesn't seem like much of an actual extension. @RickD996 you've had success with the extender?
@Jr51 what geometry changes have you made? I went up to 11n.m front fork springs to help under hard braking, but will be going back to the oem 10.5 and dropping the forks flush with the triple. Hoping that will give me the braking stability I want and the lighter springs will improve turn-in.
Has anyone used the Jetprime e-wire throttle conversion? Seriously considering it. Was surprised out much longer throttle throw on the V4 compared to the rest of the Panigale family.
@rja4z3 I got the seat with integrated tank extension, and I also have stomp grips. The seat foam is thicker, but also grippier. I wouldn't say it helps you lock in more, but it keeps your weight back. I felt it was a 100% improvement over the stock seat in terms of feel and connection to the bike, and handling on track. If anything, it puts more weight on the wrist, but I never find this an issue on track. But, maybe the grippier seat helps take weight off the wrist under braking.
BTW, stock fork springs on my V4R were 10Nm.
I ran my forks flush with the top triple clamp, but also lengthened the shock to 317mm. It was longer than the Ohlins marker, so maybe not a great idea, and the swingarm pivot was -3. Was pretty happy like that.
My friend has the e-wire and is very happy with it, but I think JetPrime has a new quick action throttle in the pipeline with integrated buttons, looks pretty trick!
I went straight for the cover/extension because it makes a pretty drastic change in tank size/shape. Locking in to the tank is incredibly easy, and hard braking doesn't take as much effort to stop myself from sliding too far up on the seat. It's also some form of protection from road rash if/when it goes down. Lastly, I'm not sure if the extension/seat works with SBK style fairings. I have fairings from Bikesplast on the way and the tail section will be SBK requiring seat foam. Regular seat mounting points won't be there.
