V4R clutch Question

I was just down at Newport Duc looking at how the STK works never held one disassembled in my hands before. My idea is doable. The owner knows me and my background and is going to try to get me one to ‘borrow’ for measurements n drawings. He is fully aware that it’s $800 every 3k miles as is and is as eager to see how this is gonna work as you are

cool can’t wait to see the results.

Yep, put one on a couple of days ago, but haven’t ridden it yet. Misses thought something was wrong with the bike based on how it sounded after, and am taking that as a good sign [emoji1360]

No I meant like one for Sale lol.

What's the cost of swapping a dry clutch on this to a wet clutch. If I get the V4R I will be using it for mainly street riding also and would prefer the wet clutch.

The wet hub and the pressure plate are $900

Each!

The plates aren’t wearing out every 2500 miles cuz they’re dry. There are no real springs in that slipper. Pressure is applied thru a ramp set up in the hub. Every time you decelerate it slips and it slips again a little bit when you get back in it

You wont need to change the side cover or basket to switch back n forth

This is not the way...

While the permanent fix for the short life of this clutch is not quite available yet I do have a solution available NOW

My worry with presenting it is that many of you will be so happy with this that you will just leave it at that and won’t get the real fix which will be available soon

I believe the plates are fairly straightforward to swap, and are only £150 for the friction plates, no big deal?
Cheaper and easier to fit new plates every 2700 miles than buy a new wet clutch etc.
