I posted this in the Superleggera forum, but since it involves an R as well perhaps it fits here too. If not, mods please delete one if appropriate.
I had an old friend he’ll me dyno the V4R and SL back to back, same day last friday. Results here:

And I also weighed them both:

i tried to cover all the interesting info, but let me know if theres questions. We did not measure torque, we didn’t have enough time to get to a lead for the sensor on both bikes.

Thanks for posting the diminishing return certainly comes into to play here, might be cheaper to go on a diet. Would like to see this comparison between an s and an r.

LOL, no question the returns are diminished. The SL is just an exercise of Ducati flexing their muscles. It’s not just the carbon everything, but every detail of the bike is greatly enhanced. Fit and finish is like no bike I’ve ever seen before, it comes with most of the DP accessories, the crate is beautiful, etc.

I should probably do a video on that stuff alone.

Ya'll didn't measure torque, but measured hp? Whatever you measure you should just be able to back into the other number unless I'm missing something here (full disclosure I haven't watched the video yet).

HP = Torque x RPM / 5252

Not being anal, but I believe it should be:

HP = (Torque x RPM)/5252

The Superleggera has always been a Ducati flex and its awesome. The very reason I traded in my Hypermotard for a Panigale R was because I saw a Superleggera 1199 in the wild and in the flesh and subconsciously fell in love. I don't know if Ducati planned that marketing but it worked on me!

No, didn't measure torque. It was an amount of time in the day issue...we just didn't have enough of it.

Are you running the p09 or f1-85 air filters?
Yeah the Ducati “race kit” as they call it, comes with filters. The SL comes with the race kit, the R I purchased the full exhaust system separately. So both have filters but I didn’t actually look at which ones though.

Kit comes with the sprint P09, not sure if you would see a difference on the dyno with the sprint F1-85 but it flows more so I went for one.

Exactly. If you have one number you should have the other number as well with a little math.

this ^^^

and unless i am grossly misinformed - torque is a force; power is a calculation.

torque can be measured. hp cannot be directly measured (it is only calculated).

so, the dyno measures torque and rpm, and from these measurements, it then calculates hp as force multiplied by velocity or: hp = torque x (rpm/5252)
