V4S Chain Slap

190HP and a 525 chain, guys it's going to stretch. I've adjusted mine at least three times with less then 800 miles on the clock. I suspect I'll have to replace the chain every few years at this rate. I'm sure mine has slapped the guard a few times under decel. That's what the guard is designed to do.
 
Totally agree that the chain needs adjusting regularly initially however ducati should not all the chain to touch the swing arm alloy parts even with a slack chain! Even with the chain in spec it touches the rear underside of swing arm where the chain guide should have been extended. Total lack of proper development on Ducati side ! This is my first Ducati and probably my last
