Yesterday went to fire her up, but not even the dash lighted up.

friend of mine lent me a lithium battery charger, but no luck

any recomendatios?

or better options for the stock battery or maintainance?

does the ducati battery tender works good? Or is there a better option?

thanks in advance for the advice

If it is totally dead, a trickle charger/maintainer will not bring it back up. You'll need a proper battery charger that can charge lithium. Most motorcycle mechanics here in Houston are open, not sure where you are in Texas, but mechanics should be open and may have be able to charge it... they'll probably want some cash too

If you get it brought back to life, put a lithium battery charger on it when you aren’t riding it. My dealer told me that Ducati recommends this.

what is the voltage?
if under 10 or so, a smart loader will not load it, saying its dead.
you can try to load with a old loader or a voltage source with less than 14.8 and less than 1ampere, better 0.1 until its over 11 volt. then proceed with your regular lifepo loader.
but... a lifepo can have a thermal runaway .
if you ask a pro, he/she should say nope.if under 10volts.

the best option for storing is in my opinion to screw off ground

There are batteries out there like Antigravity, that use chargers with many more leads than just Pos & Neg I think for balancing cells.
Are you gonna buy a new Ducati battery or go aftermarket?

Sorry to hear that. I don't get to ride much and I have 3 bikes to muck around with so all of them do not get ridden regularly. I have a BMW K1300S which I use for longer trips like riding to Phillip Is for MotoGP. That is a two day trip for me. What I do is a day or two before I know I am going for a ride is throw the battery charger on and have never had a problem with the bikes firing up. I use Junior Battery Fighter (JBF). Shorai battery (lithium) in the 1199S since 2014 now. SSB Powersport (Lithium) in the K1300 since 2017. And a super heavy (lead acid) in my 40 year old Ducati SSD Darmah. The battery in that is only 3 years old but is lead acid not lithium. Batteries are funny things and do not like not being regularly used. Couple of years ago I purchased the only new car I have ever owned and battery died within 9 months. It was a standard lead acid car battery with 6 cells of about 2.2 volts each so when a cell dies you can never get back to over 12 volts. I purchased a new one and no problems since as I drive this car more often now and it is not draining down to nothing with the tiny little "phantom" power drains that modern cars have. I first bought 2 x Shorai. One for a Husaberg 450 trail bike and one for my 1199. I bought those because of the brand name. I sold the trail bike so do not know how that one is going but I am sure it is probably fine. I bought the much cheaper SSB Powersport for the BMW (half the price) and it seems no difference both still going strong and only ever put on charge with a $59 AUD off eBay charger. I have two now the first battery trickle charger I got was the JBF which came free from the dealer that sold me the 1199S. I think they did that as they know that some of us (like me) are only once a week riders at best and so a trickle charger stops them getting calls to the service dept about flat batteries. I know some of you guys ride everyday and commute on your panigales. Friend of mine where I work rides his 899 in to work every day rain hail or shine. My old injured neck will not let me do that, and the way f%&kwits drive nowadays means I am too much of a coward to take the risk in peak hour traffic at night in the rain at 4.30am which is when I go to work.

By the way Happy Easter everyone.

Hi OP,

did you try to buy a lithium charger, like CTEK, I have both of them on my V4 and car, they claim, they can repair / condition battery.

worthy a try, less cost the brand new one.

my car has be on the charge for 2 years, never fail to crank her up. i maybe driving less 1k per year on the car. for your reference.

Update

friend of mine lend me an optimate charger

tried to charge the battery 3 times ON THE BIKE [around 6 hours each time] , but charger came up with an error.

everyone thought battery was dead

Tried one last time off the bike, and it came back to life
