@ Mr Malloo32 LOL Very true. There was a Dutch Rhyme with Ducati's in the "old days", not true anymore, but basicaly said "Ducati, it will break down"
@ EliteSoldier Sorry to hear about your bike that really sucks, I hope the dealer will fix everything pronto without you having to resort to sueing him.
The non US riders here I think, like me, are a bit apprehensive about the ease with which Americans sue for things. We can sue, but don't really have a tradition of it, so we generally talk to whomever wronged us in some way and come up with a solution. It generally works well, and saves you both some aggravation, time and money by not haveing to pay lawyers.
By the same token, we place value on civility. I understand being in the military you are probably "amped up" about the situation, as we all would be. People here are only trying to give you advice and let you know which details of your situation may be jumped on by your dealer as excuses for his bad workmanship. LittleJohn's point about water on an Oil fire is legitimate. Oil floats on water, and therefore generally water on oil will make the fire BIGGER!
There is no reason to insult anyone for that, being an international forum we all have different standards, creeds, colours religions opinions etc I expect that in the military you have learned the "discipline" to deal with stress situations in a thoughtful considered manner without resorting to name calling.
@ Little John , You might be technically correct but why in heavens name would you purposely bait and wind up a guy who's brand new bike just caught fire? His name calling is wrong, but you trying to p@#$ him off is no better. Leave it alone, imagine if it was your bike and you were looking for some support.
Deep breaths, calm down!
