Check the tightness of the bolts that hold the clip-ops. I felt a vibration on the right clip-on on my ride this past Sunday. When I got home and checked, the two bolts were lose so I snugged them up and now vibration is gone.
It is very true though, TWINS VIBRATE. the Panigale is smooth no doubt, but not as smooth as an inline 4. Everyone should check the tightness of a fastners every 200-300 miles!
I agree with jdr racer- The Panigales are vtwins but, being a 90degree vtwin...this gives perfect primary balance...so you dont get any High frequency vibrations at highspeed. Inline fours need counterbalancers to react against vibrations. So Inline fours do give a high frequency buzz that some people call "They Get The Tingles" on the hands after riding some inline fours. The Ducatis dont have any..they are smooth and maybe smoother than some inline fours.
Any mechanical engineer will point out that a 90degree vtwin has perfect primary balance...and a 6cylinder inline engine gives the smoothest delivery of the in-line design.
Check your clip-on pinch bolts, retighten them if they are a bit loose. I have no issues with vibrations at all. Just hard starting issues.
