If Ducati follow form with previous model releases, the first batch of customer bikes follow the demos by approx 1 week.

Getting close now:)

Part of the hold up for us guys in the U.S. came from new import regulations. Apparently they are considered "hazardous materials" because of the battery acid.

bwaide, why is the US always looking for something to cry about for every product that is imported in to the US. if they are so worry about the automobiles and motorcycles, then we should build a better product as the USA.

They should send the batteries weeks in advance of bike imports, that will allow plenty of time for "Hazardous material" approvals :D

I agree 100%! If the U.S. manufactured a decent motorcycle I'd probably buy one. When I people hear I've got a Ducati on the way all they can say is "it must be nice, those things are expensive!" Then I point out it costs less than a new Harley and it's not using pushrod technology, has 195HP and can do more than turn gas into useless noise.

Threre is no free acid because the panigale has an SLA accu.

p.s. My dealer told me yesterday that my 1199 will be here in april. So the chances are good for germany. (The only country in the world with no top speed limit yet)
