I spent 40 Bucks USD today and had Dave Moss send me damping and spring preload settings. Made a huge difference.

My V2 was awesome before now it is amazing!
How did that work? You sent him weight and riding style? What’s his contact info?

^^^ Nice! Tell me more. Where’d you source the parts?
There have been a few cases where the plastic idle gear fails. I think they are more susceptible on bikes that are tracked. Ducati-Kaemna sells these

Replaced the plastic water pump gear but kept the plastic oil pump gears? That’s like hanging a chandelier in a haunted house.
I know  Didn't know the oil pump gears are also plastic til I removed the cover. But I also haven't seen any post of anyone having issues with those gears failing.

Did a quick search and I haven't seen any aftermarket metal oil pump gears. Any Idea where I can pick some up? And assuming you have to remove the clutch basket to get to those lil buggers?

I’ve never seen a motor with plastic oil pump gears except for the very early 1199. I have probably 5 sets of metal gears. As far as I know there are no aftermarket oil pump gears just the OEM stuff and yes pull the clutch basket for access. What engine is that?

899

Ha, ok, I’m going to guess that the 1199 parts will interchange at least the parts we’re discussing.

Dyno chart after an Arrow slip-on, Sprint air filter, and stage 1 Brentune. I feel like I’m missing something. Definitely not the numbers I was expecting. Also, what’s up with the dip in HP (blue line)? I never asked the shop that dynoed it

something is amiss. it is odd that the chart doesn't go to the redline. the party starts at 7k.

The SLR option seems like the best programing solution for communication for the fine tuning.

Let me know how you get on.

I bougt Sparco fire proof leggings instead… true story
Actually, the heat shield kit makes a noticeable difference. It doesn't make it go away, but it is a lot more tolerable and makes the V2 much more enjoyable to ride. I can't imagine riding without it now!

today i bought my Panigale V2. new to me all setup like i would by the previous owner.
rode it home before it rained, and at 43 rain is really cold.
loved my 899 but this bike is amazing

How do you like the 899 vs the V2. Considering both bikes right now. I used to have an 899 and might buy it back.

What’s with the extreme lean out?

You give those people any money?

A dyno has to have both horsepower AND torque AND a tach pick up to be of any value to me
