Hi there,

I am a beginner in the motorcycle world and looking at the Ducati gear to purchase. Can anyone explain to me what is difference between Ducati jackets with a different naming convention C1 - C5?

Cheers

It's just the generational marker. C1 was the first iteration, C2 the second, and so on. C5 is the newest stuff as far as I know. It might stand for "Collection" but that's just a wild guess.

Thanks MaverickB,

It is just a bit confusing as the new line consist of wide range of jackets with all iterations. For example you can buy a new jacket Corse C3 , C4 or C5.

I don't think the jackets that are not C5 are part of any new lines. It is still possible to get them new, sure, but they aren't the newest versions. They might still be produced simply because people might like the older styles or not drop 900 bucks on a jacket.
