So I didn't like em when dealer installed them, felt too light and now one of the fecklers has come loose. So took it out and found a complete clusterf**k solution that a second rate aftermarket kit couldn't hope to match.

Old bar ends back on!

So how do they work? Does the screw in the end of the bar end mate to that silver bit and that squeezes the bushing in the middle and that grabs the inside of the bar?

Yeps that's basically it, pretty flimsy. Never liked them anyway. I actually like the feel with the OEM.

Dont know why people are swapping them.
Oem work fine with no vibration.
Ducati ones look terrible imo.

Bad luck mate

funny thing is i still cant get my original ones off. i tried an impact wrench ive tried everything. a new tech said use a soldering iron to heat just the bar end and that should work

Mine were covered in locktite. I heated it up a bit and used the right socket with a breaker bar and they finally came off.

mark ^ that's the way to go about it. use something you can get some leverage on w/out tweaking the clip ons too much.

Every Napoleon Baren (That's their proprietary version of Bar End, I guess) mirror you've ever seen is held in place thus. That said, it's pretty crappy compared to a nice tapered collet arrangement like CRG use.

Bad Juju.
