Looking at doing some trips and starting to get a basic tool kit to carry with me. Just wondering what everyone else carry's with them day to day and on big trips. I know the old saying cant carry enough but don't want to take up my whole gear bags with tools and spares? Any suggestions and pics much appreciated.
Cheers Luke

Folding combination Allen Key, regular Allen Keys, 8 10 13 combination wrenches, digital tyre pressure gauge, small selection of fasteners.

Only on long trips...
- Short and long allen keys from PB (best of the best of the best :), see pciture)
- Short and long torx keys from PB
- 40 years old Hazet 1/4" hex nut set (very compact, super robust, undestroyable, life time warranty)
- Knipex universal mini pliers set
- Some zip ties
- Leatherman Carbon ("Freestyle CX")
- Oil
- Some rags
- Vulcan cleaning towels
- High beam LED mini-torch (Ti housing :))
- Corkscrew for wine bottles

All except Oil fits into a very small bag.

Day to Day
1) small 10/11mm wrench combo -In case I have to bleed the brakes/clutch
2) small 8mm wrench- to bleed the brakes at the caliper
3) Assorted metric Allen keys - All sizes to Remove the fairings etc.
4) Very Small 1/4"drive ratchet
5) 1/4" extension
6) 1/4" socket that holds my Allen keys for use on my ratchet
7) 8,10,12mm sockets 1/4" drive
8) Front and Rear wheel combo socket axle nut tool (not many places carry a 55 mm socket to remove the rear wheel in case of a tire change. This sits in the tail
10) Zip ties

All fits in the Ducati tool bag w/o the useless tools they provide.

Long trips
I add a tire repair Kit with two bottle of air (been through the canyons where there was no cell service)

AAA membership card for free towing.

The only issue I ever had was my quick shifter linkage rod came loose from the rear sets twice with blue locktite on. I didn't loose the screw that holds it in but I do now carry an extra screw just in case. Not sure if the heat from the exhaust port is melting the locktite. I am hard on the shifter through the canyons

No comment on the rainbow allen wrenches...

I carry a AAA card :D

Allen keys, cable ties, duck tape. Couple of gas canisters and sticky string for punctures. On longer trips tool for adjusting the chain.

11 mm Motion Pro bleeder tool to address any issues that emerge with the hydraulic clutch.
Mini Bleeder, 11mm | Motion Pro

Bleeds on the road just require a rag and an open ended (or 12 point) wrench. No need to carry that thing around.

My list:
Selection of stubby metric open ended wrenches
Allen wrenches (including the 8mm? one for chain adjustment)
Stock tool kit
Small bottle of brake fluid
Small bottle of oil (~.25 liter)
Zip ties
Old Credit card with Duct tape wrapped around it
AAA Card (make sure you add the Motorcycle option). Does me no good in Europe.

Hell, I think that's it. All of it fits under the seat except the oil. Will add a rear swingarm socket tool with me when I ride through Eastern Europe, just in case.

Money and phone. And Ducati roadside assistance card.

Money paid for some insulation tape at a service station when a nut came of my front brake reservoir so I taped it back on.

The phone is to tell my wife I am going to be late......again.

I tow a second panigale for parts in case any fall off :p

Oh, and a leatherman multi tool.

I ride two up with a certified Ducati technician.

lol Thanks guys much appreciated and love the two up idea. I've being carrying just the tyre repair kit but will look at a couple choice options to add.

I am a tool , so I don't need a kit.

I got a heckler and koch leather man with allens and such, plus the original kit wit some extra wrenches, latex gloves , small hose and all the other kinky stuff. Like plugs and CO2 cartridges. Ask charlieM90 ;)
