back in 1986 i bought a 1983 Suzuki GS550E

it was silver with red and orange stripes ( i think the stripes made it go faster)

I sold it to a friend a few years ago and he takes it out 3-4 times a year still

Still probably the best Japanese literbike. Not a great learning tool though:D

They're all soooooooo close in terms of ratings, it's nearly impossible to rate 1 as best. Zx10r is highly underrated. R1's dominate AMA Superbike. CBR's have always been good. Not one Japanese manufactured liter bike stands out in a negative way.

1981 Yamaha DT 50 MX in red and white. Burned out the cone restrictor in the exhaust with my dad's arc welder, fitted a thin head gasket, upgraded to power reeds and fitted a larger front sprocket. It was good for 55mph, down hill with a trailing wind, and in a strange way was every bit as much fun as the Panigale. Sadly I killed though neglect, specifically a seized engine when a forgot to fill the two stroke oil tank.

1994 Honda RVF400
Miss my first swingarm bike!!

Took my MSF on a Suzuki TU250 which was technically my first bike. The first one I purchased after passing was a Daytona 675 and I regret trading it up just because it was the first bike I bought.

Piece of .... royal Enfield 500 cc, bought used, 1968 model, too heavy for a skinny teen back then, broke down every week, made 20 HP n prolly 30 fp torque. But I took it everywhere, on road, off road, dirt, and across streams etc. Lol :-D

Yo!!! Welcome back!!

When I was 15, it was a faggy Tomos 50cc Moped. I was a bad boy though and installed a 70cc bore kit, pipes, sprocket changes, and it managed to get to 55mph. Being that a 15 year old (moped) is only allowed to go 25mph in NJ LEO's were quite disappointed when I followed the flow of traffic on a 40mph road.
First offroad bike was an '06 Suzuki RM125, first street bike was an '07 Honda Shadow 750
