2008 Ducati Monster S2R 1000

People loved it. I loved the riding position. Lacked on the power obviously and I always felt like I was going to break it with me being 280 pounds.

And the gas tank expanding kind of was starting to get ridiculous.

My love affair with Ducati began with my 1999 996. Is like riding on rails. The "L" twin power pulses and Termis....well.... :)

2014 Diavel Strada

After many years of Japanese sports 600's I tested a Diavel with a friend 'cos it's what he was interested in... 4 days later we'd both done deals and now we are both Diavel owners...

nice!

my first was a 900 darmah, think it was a '78, looking back it was a dog but i loved it

Mine was a 1995 900ss. I put on a K&N air filter, re-jetted and had a pair of aluminum SuperTrapps with 8 diffusers in each can. It sounded awesome and pulled wheelies easily.
That little bubble wind screen worked better and better the faster you went and it rode like it was on glass rails. I top speeded it at around 135mph...............................sigh.

My first Ducati is my actual Sophia Loren. And will be my last. But not because I dont like it, because I love it. I'll probably buy others but I'll never sell this one.

I first saw her on it's debut, in an trip to Rome, Italy, in 2011, than I was in passion....

My very first bike, errrr, was an Yamaha 50cc many many many years before (shy to say how much, lol) and various jap "girls" till Diavel... One of those, an honda Fireblade tried to kills me... that bitch... I lost meters and meter of my precious skin :(

My first Ducati is my Diavel too, I would never had bought a duc if not for the Diavel, I'm not into sports bikes anymore, monsters are to small for me(i'm 6'5") and the multi's I think look ....(I believe they are a fantastic bike but they still look ....)
The first time I saw a Diavel I knew one day I'd buy one.

First Ducati.... I feel very privileged to say, a 900ss Sp FE, 1 of a handful that made it to Canada. I opened the crate and saved the wood. Arrow pipes, and vented clutch cover were my add ons. After hearing that 2-valve thunder who couldn't be in love.

Monster 1000 S2R. Being a larger person, I looked like a monkey f $$cking a football.

my first Ducati , a 2008 1098 .... rode it for two seasons, and sold it to a close friend..... he totalled it at Deal's Gap a few months later ...... next , I bought a 2005 Ducati Monster s4r that needed some tlc , fixed it up , and rode it for 4 years.... just bought a 2011 Diavel Carbon Red, with low miles ...... I haven't even taken possession yet, but super excited ! Hope to get some riding in before I tuck her away for the winter........... Cheers !

2002 ST2... Sold it by accident. I friend of mine owns an exotic car dealership and ask me to borrow it so that he can take some pics with it between a couple of 911's, a Ferrari 360 and a Viper. Someone 1500 miles away saw the pic and wanted to buy my bike. A week later, he drove the distance, handed me an envelope full of cash and trailered the bike away.
I picked up a 2009 1200S Monster, but when the Diavel was introduced, I couldn't resist. Bought the 2011 Red and last August I traded in the Red for a 2014 Strada.
I'm keeping this one for a while.

First and Last Ducatis

First: 2012 Monster 696. Also my first motorcycle. Fine bike, much fun and perfect for a beginner. Put about 5K on it before buying my
Last: 2014 DiavelStrada, greatest two-up motorcycle I've encountered (except for the panniers, and tyres that last barely 3K-mi in hard mountain riding, but such troubles are worth it!). Looks voluptuously sexy--I love the "Sophia Loren" moniker, DiceCracker!--and performs like Jim Brown breaking into the open. I've put almost 20K on it since May '13, (twice through the Four Corners, plus Ozarkia and the Smokies). IMHO, it's idiotic for the OEM to cancel the sub-model, it's a world-beater on fun, spec, and cash, esp. compared to the over-priced, over-weight H-D pokes that outnumber Ducs here in Florida 100 to 1. Last is provisional, but with it's Russell Day-long seat giving us unlimited riding time, I can't imagine a more perfect motorcycle for me and my wife, and I drop the windscreen and pans for everyday use. We even have a Third-Wheel trailer for it. Moto-touring is the best!

My first Ducati... Kind of convoluted story. I was (and still am) a Harley guy. I started with an Iron and felt in love with it. But after 6k miles I outgrew it. And fast. Then I see for the first time in my life a Diavel on the street. I couldn't believe it! I've never seen anything like it. From the design to the performance, I couldn't believe my Eyes! I quickly ran into a delays hip and tried one. They way it handled left me speechless. I couldn't believe it was a cruiser and handled like a sports bike. The performance left me speechless. I did a lot of research after my first ride. By that time I got rid of my iron, but actually got a 2014 Hypermotard Sp. I had loved that Style of bikes for a long time and loved the way it handles. (The Hypermotard is one of my favorite bikes.. Ever). However by then I had found a diavel Carbon 2015 and order it used. So technically the diavel was my first Ducati... It's the one that seduced me!

My first Ducati

My first Ducati was a lovely 748 sps in yellow, it was also my first sports bike, I can still recall the feeling on my first ride as I opened the throttle, wow the noise the acceleration and the passing though that this bike was probably going to kill me
