Ouch! Hopefully she's not reading this!
Trust me, she is beating herself up more than I ever could. As I'm sure we all would be doing.

And btw, you can't do much better than the Triumph. The '13 has some slight mods to improve on it even more and I would choose it over the 848 for several reasons beyond just the ABS IMO.
I tend to agree. Traction control is nice, but I think the 675R beats the 848 on every level. That Triumph really is a cool f'ing bike. I like the liter bikes, and like having a bike bigger and faster than my wife. But I don't see why anybody would go mid range and not go with the Triumph. Just one of the coolest rides I've ever been on. I think we'll go with the 675R, and I think I can get a great deal on a '12. So I guess to answer my original question, we may end up with neither ABS or TC.
Another thought... I have a 2012 MultiStrada and it's the funnest bike I've every ridden. And more than able to run at a SportBike pace but certainly not as spirited as the 1199. Has ABS and traction control and lots of electronic goodies. That's what I'd put my wife on!
Yeah, that is an awesome bike. Though she (and I) remain strictly sportbike lovers for the mountain roadgasms. It is a bit of a burn that so many other (less expensive in many cases) bikes have both. Hell, I've seen scooters with both. I know there was some resistence to ABS for track use, but I'm glad to see they are catching up for the market that is out there.
Did you just imply my MultiStrada wasn't a sport bike? How dare you!
just curious, how would ABS have save you from dumping the bike? Did you lock up the front?
