I was having a discussion other day and I like to see what other's think on this.

On the poll you can only pick what is THE MOST Important to you and the reply with others listing them from 1 to 6.

If you HAD to choose MOST important to LEAST important and you had to put a number them: 1 (most) to 6 (least)...what would it be?

Cosmetic Appearance
Suspension
Engine
Reliability
Cost
Comfort

1) cosmetic
2) looks
3) bling
4) extra bling

Nothing else really matters since in today's world, all sportbikes are amazing and not many of us can outride the capabilities of modern day sportbikes. That said, allll looks and gotta add sound too. That sexy roarrrrr!

For me the whole reason I like bikes is technogology and the fact that it is visible and more tactile than on cars.

1. Technogology
2. Beautiful engineering
3. Handling
4. Power
5. Build quality
6. Comfort

For me cosmetic appearance is numero uno. It needs to look and sound good. Reliability is kind of a moot point for me; the mainstream manufacturers are all building good products. Suspension is obvious, it has to ride the way I like it to ride. The engine at number 3, more because I wanted something different, i.e. L-twin. The last three are really interchangeable on any given Sunday.

1. cosmetic appearance
2. suspension
3. engine
4. cost
5. reliability
6. comfort

My S1000RR that met its untimely demise because of a dog was amazingly fast! The reason I went with a 1299s is because in my town S1000RR are everywhere. I believe I can make the 1299 just as fast if not faster than my BMW and the beauty of this bike can't be beat in my opinion. Plus there is only 1 other one local to me and the guy uses it as a show piece so mine is the only one seen around here.

1. Cost (i can't afford the SL)
2. Comfort (no slippery footpegs, no sliding seat, no burning bodyparts)
3. Reliability (it can't die)
4. Suspension (it should go where you want it to go)
5. Engine (adding cc is easy)
6. Cosmetic Appearance (i never seen a mirror in the garage)

The experience of owning such a exlusive/exotic machine and being part of the Ducati community factor in as well.

handleing
power
looks
the other 2 aren't relevant for me.
Jap bikes aren't figured into my equation.

I am actually curious to see what other members who had problems or much complaints...(wont name who).

I would think Reliability to them should be number 1 or not....

I couldn't check any box because my number 1 is performance. Performance to me is a combination of power, handling, the whole enchilada. The way the suspension and lightweight wheels combine with the chassis and engine. I can't just narrow it down to just say suspension because without out a good chassis the suspension won't work.

1: Performance

Well the point was to make hard for you to choose only 1.

It's too easy to say I want everything...
