Whats the Hottest your Temp has risen to?

about 220F in 50F weather. I was stuck in stop and go traffic for about 15 minutes. As I rolled on the throttle in 1st to go, bike switched off *twice*. I finally pulled over, switched off bike and let it cool for 5 minutes before carrying on. the rest of the route was open road, temps came down nicely to a constant 150F

223 for me. usually when I hit 217/8 I find a way to cool it down below 210

Max temp I've seen is 223 F in stop 'n go with ~ 90 F ambient temp. Once moving again at speed, it drops to high 180's - low 190's

Mine got up to 243° F in traffic. I was seriously worried till I got the chance to open up a little. She pulled through with no issues.

Highest I've seen was 217 before the fan kicked on. I have cox radiator guards but replaced my coolant with motul motocool. This was in stop and go traffic in 80 degree temps.

Captain obvious checking in here. Horsepower = heat.

Yeah, gotta watch that 235 MotoGP-like rwhp at idle in traffic, which most people are reporting their peak temps at ;)

I'm in FL too, and had the same experience as Cap'n Jack today. Stop and go in Daytona Beach today for about 10 minutes, ambient 90+, relatively low humidity, peaked at around 220 F.

230F on the ride home from the dealer. Same old story as others- got locked into slow moving traffic on a warm sumer day. Though it seems after the initial engine break in, the temps have gotten cooler (on average).

I saw 220 F once. The ambient was 98F. Going through really slow traffic.
I echo this experience but not as high as it was about 95 ambient at full stop for over a minute after cruising my new bike.
Temp guage seems sensitive as I can see it creep up from 110.

104°C in pitlane at Spa without cool down lap... rest riding was 84°C - The R has no fan..

I saw 230 pretty consistently riding through downtown traffic, guess i shouldn't worry after reading all your averages....

And BTW The new heat shield doesn't seem to help with the heat at all, huge disappointment. Shoulda just left it stock...
