When a 1199R engine build goes wrong

Your maturity indicates you have accepted the inherent risks in the modification game. In this particular game, it requires a high degree of competence in close tolerance metalworking of which few have (and too many claim to have). It also requires a high degree of diligence to pay attention to the small details for this kind of metalworking.
 
sorry to hear about your issues . You need absolute trust in your engine builder when going down this path I have done the same but without trusting the guy doing the job I would not have started in the first place .

Damn straight. Your life may depend on it, it does for Rocky, but only Suzuki is in his engine internals, and Bob Worth on the dyno and tuning.

On my 1199 I would only trust myself. I don't know anyone that's done enough where I live. Hopefully I don't have to crack into this for years to come.
 
Thank you for all the kind words lately I have finished off gathering the last bits of the build

I have now
1199RS pistons and sleeves
1199RS intake and exhaust cams
SL head gasket
SL crank
SL intake and exhaust ti valves
R rods
R flywheel
Nova racing transmission close ratio racing gearbox

I will be using a SSTK ecu mapping from motorapido in UK
My engine build will be done by a very good friend and a phenomenal Ducati master tech Raffael conti at faster twin il be posting pics in a few weeks of this amazing build

So many good people and reps from shops on this forum I'm glad to get this new build underway!
 
Brother sorry about what happened, but thanks for posting it.

Another great resource for builds is Melillimoto down in Ocala.

Sebastian and Adam are who Ducati sends trouble issues too.

If I could only get them to relocated up North. Humm...
