I read this on another motorcycle website about the C-01:

"In order to live up to these bold claims, Lotus is bringing in some of their old friends to help with design and construction. Kodewa, a German automobile race team, is on board as is designer Daniel Simon and members of the Holzer Group. Kodewa built Lotus' new T128 LMP (Le Mans Prototype) and currently runs the LMP2 in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Simon has designed for Bugatti Automobiles and created the black-and-gold livery of the LMP2. In addition to his work with four-wheeled machines, Simon is also the creative source for one of the recent, futuristic iterations of motorcycles seen on the silver screen: the "Lightcycle" from Disney's Tron: Legacy. He also created the "Bubbleship" from the movie Oblivion."

So you're saying that bunch of guys with car racing and movie prop design backgrounds are going to make a state-of-the-art, ultra-high-performance motorcycle to compete with the world of Aprilia RSV4's, BMW HP4's and Ducati Panigale R's, not to mention the best that Japan can produce? In a market that has considerably contracted in the last 5 years?

That should work out real well...
