It's funny how I find a £20k F3 outrageous, yet can happily rationalise spending £2.5k on parts for a £15,750 1199 that's not even been launched:eek:

Combination of man-logic and Duc-love I guess ;)

I'm in Afghanistan and it's killing me that the test is only about a 2 hour flight away! It's 9pm over here which means the test is kicking off in the next 12 hours!

Quick, see if you can get a UAV retasked to spy in on the test!
 
Heading home on April 16th, have a base with ABS and a full termi kit "hopefully" ready for me to pick up on the 18th.

World Press Test

Well today is the day of the Panigale testing in Dubai, 11th Feb 2012. My understanding is that although MCN have been granted full access to the development of the bike, that when it comes to the actual testing in Dubai there will be a number of different press test riders involved from around the world. This should lead to a better unbiased series of tests. First thing on Wednesday morning next week, when I am back in the UK, I will be out buying a copy of MCN and searching their site for a video. Be amazed if the bike is anything less than brilliant given the effort that's been put in by Ducati in Design, Build and Testing.

I know what you mean by going there. However you are so close to the truth in another way, as I am currently in China and my two older children both live and work in Dubai. Now Dubai especially today is the place I would like to be.

A mate three doors down has a subscription to MCN... I have a feeling his issue next week may be delayed a day or two and arrive with fresh smudges from where it's been read.. Probably many times... Yes, a feeling indeed..

Clearly you are too excited, if you are in the UK right now then you should be asleep as it is almost 1am. Get to sleep, the outcome of the tests will be the same no matter if you are awake or asleep
