Please help I am fitting my rapid bike module but cant find a place to fit the module. Instructions are very unclear and I am stuck. Any one who has fitted one? It says on the left hand side but where there is nothing there where say in the instructions.

Do you still have the OEM exhaust and the servo motor? If not, it fits perfectly where the servo motor has been removed in front of the exhaust cans. That's where mine is. Another member on here has the OEM exhaust and the RapidBike module installed, hopefully he will chime in.

I am preparing a detailed post with my RapidBike Race module results on my 2012 1199. I just had my first dyno-tuning session today. I've got more tuning set up for next Saturday, but as a preview, I just gained 11+ horsepower in the (previously) big dip at 6500-7500 rpm. Good stuff with more to come!!!

One module is ziptied under the battery, the other is under my seat, per the instructions. Call Yaman at Cycle Pro in Orlando or Adam at Melillimoto in Ocala if you can.

Jeff, I gained 10hp on mine. Adam ran a pre and post and I gained 10.

Leon, where did you gain 10? At the peak? I actually lost a bit at the peak because my initial setup went a bit too lean with the initial targets. I was at Yaman's after the Horst dyno sessions this afternoon and we adjusted the 85% and 95% cells up (richer) by about 8 points. Will confirm next Saturday at the Cycle Pro/RapidBike Event on the Horst dyno again to see if we got the top-end back and maybe improved it a bit. Remember, the same night my 178.83 rwhp run was done, Les Horst dyno'd an HP4 with Akrapovic within 45 minutes and it peaked at 183 even. I can't believe how much smoother the throttle response is - first gear is actually usable and not the herky-jerk-fest it was before the base fuel and ignition map of the RapidBike Race.

Here is one of the gains after today's dyno runs, showing the 11 hp increase (probably 12+ if I searched for the highest delta) right in the infamous "dip" of the typical 1199 power curve, compared to the last time my bike was on his dyno. Only change is the RapidBike Race module (same MWR HE filter, Termi slips, Termi Slips Up-Map) Les Horst shut off a little early since I was running a bit rich and we knew there were adjustments needed so no need to hit the rev-limiter. I wish I had a track in my backyard to just do laps so the system optimizes in a couple sessions!

I have full termi. Could you provide a photo, cant see how it will fit under the battery. Tried velcro on side of battery but then the fairing does not fit.

We have our module fitted where the OEM battery i placed. The battery is replaced with a super thin lipo which leaves enough room for the rb. module...

Jeff, I finally was able to view the runs on my computer. There is room for improvement down low. On the initial map, looks like I lost 6/7hp but gain 12 up top. I know Yaman sent Adam a new map but he didn't dyno that map. I'll be at cyclepro Friday the 30th to get it looked at before the track day weekend 31/1.

Leon, you're not going to Cycle Pro next Saturday 5/24? The RapidBike lead engineer and management from Italy will be there and Horst will be dyno tuning all the RapidBike equipped bikes with their oversight. Should be an epic event with at least 5 Panigales there, food, music, even dancing girls!

Jeff,
I'm going to Jennings to get my race license. I wish I could, but the license is more important right now.

Thanks for al the replies guys. I was just a bit worried about the heat so close to the exhuasts. It should be ok if you guys dont pick up any probems.

Have you compared your "tuned" maps to the maps supplied with the system and are they very different?
We should start a map share for the Rapid bike module:)

See my post above. 12hp up top. I havent ridden the bike yet. Next weekend we will see how smooth it is.

Guys,
There is a guy on uk forum quoting an overall max of about 17.32RWHP top end(10750-11,250) HP gain from just an ecu remap????
Dyno image included (193.24 rwhp)

He fitted termi cans and RWHP went up as expected, to get another 17.32rwhp gain on top of that with just an ecu remap seems amazing.
Seems he got a really well built engine from the factory because dyno guys stated it best 1199s for rwhp he has had/done to date.

I took mine to CJS Racing in Bristol and had the standard ECU remapped. Gained a max of nearly 20bhp at the top and generally 8bhp+ across the rev range, but more at the top. Fuelling is spot on now and the bike feels great in town too - so smooth on and off throttle, plus 1st gear is actually useable!!

Graph shows a before and after (figures are REAR WHEEL HP). Both runs were done within 10 mins of each other as when he'd finished the tuning my original map was uploaded for the purpose of the comparison. My bike has Termi slip ons which seem to give the best power on his dyno compared to stock and full system. 193 RWHP was the best he'd seen out of half a dozen other 1199s mapped there.

"had the standard ECU remapped" - This was discussed earlier here, this is not possible with the OEM ECU. Need some clarification here.

Thats what he is saying Jeff. I also find it impossible. But don't wanna start calling the guy out. He has the dyno graph and was told his is the highest rwhp of the few other 1199 The guy has remapped and dyno'd ???

Found this advert which offers standard ecu remapping for panigale??

Would love to findout what program there using?

The OEM ECU really CAN be remapped. But you need to find someone who can reprogramme the original ECU. And they are not that many...

Very interesting Macke. Wonder if the guy 'skint refers to is on the level. Frankly the dyno graph doesn't look like a 1199 power curve, but perhaps it's the scale that is throwing me off.

If you look at the graphs you will see that he only pickedup 11hp max. 193 vs 182. The 17hp is on over rev. It will def not feel like you picked up 17hp.
