Thanks for the pictures. The Speciale is a limited edition (1500?) but the top yoke doesn't appear to be numbered in the way of previous models - does anyone know if they will be numbered?

It appears that pic if of an S Model.

the last pic of the dashboard it ´s a S not Especiale.

The sound from the V4 is absolutely glorious :D

The 1199/1299 will always be timeless, but there are certain angles from which it does look dated compared to the V4. The new bike is a bit edgier. I really like it.

On the specimen in the photos from the unveiling it seems you are correct.
However, as per jarelj, who knows his ...., the number will indeed be laser engraved.

Yes, the Speciale comes with a laser-etched top clamp, in the sample I saw it was "#xxxx of 1500"

I don't know anything more than any other Ducati dealer knows, other than maybe I pay more attention to the details on the Superbikes than some do since I personally am a rabid Ducati Superbike fan and rider.

It is definitely a limited and numbered edition. Furthermore, they are all sold out.

My dealer took 15 orders and he can only fulfil 5 of those.....

Well, they are not all sold out to customers, they are likely all sold out (allocated) to Dealers at this point. I'm sure some dealers have sold their own allocation out, but there are some still available for purchase, we have one left at our store at this point. I have no doubt they'll all be spoken for well before the bikes actually arrive, it just looks too good! I'll be painting my track bike to look just like it!

any DP stickers/cf to cover up that frame? maybe stompgrips comes out w/ something to cover it up, which would also go on tank and tie it in well.

do the headlights have integrated turn signals?

I hope they Speciale's aren't all sold out, Im definitely teetering towards putting a deposit down on one.

Now the question is...Will jarelj build Race Track version.

I think he will. :cool::D

They're definitely not all sold out today, but I wouldn't wait too long. Typically there are a LOT of people who are potential buyers but don't even know it exists at this point. Only a small portion of the Ducati customer base is dialed in on the latest info on forums and checking web sites, etc. Once the bike starts hitting the motorcycle mags and the IMS shows, then more people will know about it.

One slightly bruised Speciale anyone? Least you can all get a good view of the asymetric exhausts now!!

I wonder if one of the fashion models knocked it over??

so i saw the supersport today and it's even uglier in person. (extending the exterior fairings under the dash was the cherry on top of the .... sunday.) the fairing into gas tank is totally wretched in terms of lines.

not holding out any hope for the v4 panis. this is almost the equivalent of the 999 to my eyes, but worse. lucky for ducati, most ppl dont have much taste and they'll get talked into it by dealers given they think they want all that performance that they'll never have the skills to use.

bummer.

Ducati has on their site now the Speciale option with the magnesium wheels. Don't think this was posted...
