I can't believe what I'm reading ! The motor isn't music to you ears ? Not to mention not being able to hear what's going on around you . I propose to all who need music to ride should sell their panigale's and get some lame baggers with a stereo built in the dash ! Ha ha

Nevermind. I was reading reviews and our own Gunny Fitz's review was in there so I know I have the right add on product.

Thanks, Gunny!

ok, picked one of these up and it is pretty nice so far. What do you guys do with all the extra wire from your earbuds? Mine are on pretty long wires as it is and now they are just going from the Sena to my ears so there is a giant loop of wire hanging down somewhere. I was thinking of coiling it up and using a ziptie to either attach it to something or maybe even slide it into the helmet liner somehow.

Wow, that's a pretty serious issue. Could be dangerous too if you whooshed by a semi and the wire caught on their mirror. I think this is worthy of its own thread. Maybe try Google "loose wire in helmet", quite a bit of info on it there - About 95,900,000 results (0.49 seconds). Sorry, I have no idea how to help, but in full forum fashion, I posted anyway.

Great, another Internet "expert" pads his post count to try to get "Super Senior Member" status to fulfill some weird lust for status. I hate forums.

ok, first ride in with the Sena today. Two things. First, I need to find some earbuds that stay in my ear better. Second, and this may be related to the first, I need to find a way to deal with the extra cord from the earbuds. I shoved some of it into the helmet liner, but you need enough slack to put the earbuds in while holding the helmet. The problem is that when you put the helmet on that takes up all the slack and leaves a loop hanging down on top of you or to your left side. I managed to partially dislodge the right earbud making a lane change since the cord caught on my jacket or something. Some sort of retractable cord might work, but it's already a bit of a CF with all those cables hanging everywhere so that may just make it worse. I may try the helmet speakers since I could then just secure any excess cord semi-permanently to the inside of the helmet and that would solve the issue. Then again, with earplugs in I bet I wouldn't be able to hear my Justin Biebe.., I mean Slayer. :)

My Best Find

Was just talking about this subject with Capt CF here who bought the Sena system and is looking for best earbuds to use under his lid. I went thru so many test trials to find the best fitting earbuds, which feel most comfortable and provide best sound quality. :D

This is what I ended up getting from the Magnolia section at Best Buy. Yes they are VERY steep for a set of damn ear buds but they worked out best for me in long run. Additionally, I did get a mold of the custom fitted ear pieces made at the DC Bike Show which they will hold for a year if I decide to go that route-however those are even higher priced if you want top shelf ones!

Anyway, Best Buy even lets you try these on there too w the different sized ear pieces! I had my helmet w me and tried them before dropping mad cash!

gunny in the end they are still earbuds and you dont get the best noise canceling. i dont know if you use the bluetooth to talk with the headphones or not but I for one will never buy another set of earbuds that arent custom. Ultimate ears for the win all day long.
Ultimate Ears Custom In-Ear Monitors then go look at the custom ones.

Listen Tithead. I used those custom jobbies and dont like the way they feel or work. Therefore, though they are just "still earbuds" i will continue to use them and if I see you and your custom plugs I am gonna throw them as far as I can into a lake!

baaaahaaaaaaahaaaaa!!:D

Wow I just saw this thread and wanted to chime in. I have been using the UClear HBC200 bluetooth paired with my phone for listening to music. I has a boomless mic and the sound is great. I wear earplugs, and the music goes through with no problems. I can change the track from the unit while my phone is tucked away in my pocket. I commute to and from work, about a 30min ride and it lasts me about 2 weeks before it needs a recharge.
