It is so hard to get 100% gas these days with all these ethanol crap... Anyone only find/use 100% gas? Notice any difference?

I am lucky to have a gas station near by that only sells 100% gas because he knows the loyalty he gets from drivers/riders that prefer non ethanol gas. Apparently, he had difficulty also with the gas provider and had to threaten them somewhat to continue to get 100% gas. :D

If I was traveling longer distance and I had to use ethanol gas, then I am fine with it, but I try to use 100%.

I was wondering what others thought here. :)

E-.... free gas is 4.35 a gallon here at the moment and is roughly 10 miles away from me. I haven't used it in the Pani but I have used it in my Titan before, I saw an increase in MPG.

It's $4.55 a gallon here. I'll use it this weekend at the track. But otherwise it's too much effort to find and cost to me to.

Have the Pure-Gas app on my phone and always run it unless there's none around when I need some. Do it for my S2K and my bike(s), Civic gets whatever will burn. Not too hard to find around my neck of the woods. Probably should run the ethanol stuff, considering I'm already paying for it every time I go to the grocery store.

Steve B,

I used to have White Mugen S2K and lived in TN as well. I wonder if we know same people. I used to drive/ride to Dragon all the time. :D

North of the border we have 6 months of winter, nose-bleedingly high tax rates, but most of our super-unleaded is ethanol free:p

When I can, I use the VP100 race fuel for $7/gal. by my house... but that's the only place I can get it. Wish there were more.

Closest one not race fuel, is an hour away...

I ....... hate ethonol..... ethanol is to vehicles what corn syrup is to our bodies....... these corn people are lobbying this .... and ....... up our ....

I have a Mapco Station 2 blocks away and all they sell is non-ethanol gas. Only place I get gas for anything.

If the gas prices are going any higher, I will use Racegas in my bike and SUV. It will be cheaper than the Ethanol crap.

Nice Mugen! Never know, but probably not; my poor S2K has been relegated to daily commuter for the most part, and drifting around off ramps en route to office is about all the fun it gets to have these days. Bikes get to have all the fun; really no fair at all. Had to buy it some RE11's recently just to show I still loved it... :p

I never even knew about this. I'm going to have to read further. Thanks for the info!

Good luck. I have never found any in our area. There's an app or a site or something where you can look for it, but I haven't done it in a couple of years. It's really problematic with the Streetfighter since it has a plastic tank that reacts with ethanol (I had one replaced under warranty due to the "tank expansion" problem). I figured I'd stop using ethanol gas if I could, but no luck..at least not around here back then.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe gas providers get some kind of tax break and/or benefits to sell ethanol. They are hesitant to provide them to gas stations... Miss the good o' days.

I think some riders even use 87 pure gas and add additive instead of ethanol gas.

That site that I included in my initial post get updated constantly so keep an eye:)

Per dipshit EPA, Ethanol was designed as dillution additive to reduce the amount of oil refinery use in petro production to reduce our dependency on foreign oil. In return we got poor MPGs which require us to run back to the pump more often, great ....... going on their part. Corn fuel ain't the ....... future.

Prior example, my patrol vehicle is 100% E-85 only and my avg fuel consumption is 8mpg. What do i drive you ask? I drive an MRAP. Ok maybe an Impala:D. However, MRAP did net me 8 to 9mpgs in Afghan, so there.

I can't believe your Impala gets the same MPG as an MRAP. There's something really wrong with that. On the plus side though, if you can get the acquisition cost down or get it on the GSA schedule maybe you can make the pitch to switch to MRAPs. I bet you'd feel safer patrolling in urban areas in one of those. As a bonus, your bike should fit in the back. Do they make an MRAP-R? What about a tricolore?
