Per dipshit EPA, Ethanol was designed as dillution additive to reduce the amount of oil refinery use in petro production to reduce our dependency on foreign oil. In return we got poor MPGs which require us to run back to the pump more often, great ....... going on their part. Corn fuel ain't the ....... future.

Prior example, my patrol vehicle is 100% E-85 only and my avg fuel consumption is 8mpg. What do i drive you ask? I drive an MRAP. Ok maybe an Impala:D. However, MRAP did net me 8 to 9mpgs in Afghan, so there.

Not to mention this screwed up corn prices, and as you said, did not net us fuel savings. Stupid idea.

I can't believe your Impala gets the same MPG as an MRAP. There's something really wrong with that. On the plus side though, if you can get the acquisition cost down or get it on the GSA schedule maybe you can make the pitch to switch to MRAPs. I bet you'd feel safer patrolling in urban areas in one of those. As a bonus, your bike should fit in the back. Do they make an MRAP-R? What about a tricolore?
Yeah on avg I net about 8 to 8.5 while roaming around MacDill, I drove down to Orlando last week and maxed out 18.X mpgs on the highway with cruise set at 70mphs. Truly sad since my Shelby did much better :(.

No tri-colores for Mraps but some of them do come equipped with sexy crow nests:D.

With military downsizing and the war slowing down, you can probably acquire one at a discounted price of $500,000 and that is cheap compared to MSRP. :D

I am not sure what police can do if robbers were in that thing and rob a casino or something with 50 cal mounted. Call the Army with Tanks? Lol

Perhaps we can call DHLS to assist with one of their drones that they got flying around.

Daisy cutter? Moab? :) There might be some collateral damage, but we'd get the tangos.

Can you even imagine riding a bike down the road, and no noise? You would have to create an MP3 of a Termi, and listen to it!

lol. I looked at the specs and I'd have to get the dual battery model. Even then it only has a range of 50 miles or so combined city and highway and costs $12k. Then again, I wouldn't need to worry about finding corn free gas. No clutch though and top speed of 95 mph. I'll try to ride one at my local dealer and see what it is like. Problem is, you are getting close to Hyper money at that point and who wouldn't rather have that new Hyper than this thing? :)

You get in late one night and forget to hook up the charger, next morning Doh!

Yeah, there is some other option they offer than will go from 0% to 95% in an hour so that would be pretty handy if you could find a plug at the office or wherever you were going. I'll keep one in mind. I don't think they make any CF or open clutch covers for them though so you wouldn't be wrenching away at them constantly and I know that's what us Ducati folks like. :)

IDK how you can look someone in the face and tell them using a FOOD crop for FUEL is a GOOD idea.

People are starving around the world, and we are putting food in our cars. The process to convert corn to fuel actually contributes more to pollution then the savings at the car. Its a mess - as mentioned above it provides 30% less energy so MPG suffers, and it costs more to handle/transport. So no cost savings, no pollution savings, our food prices up. Ok, a button was pushed here - sorry...

I can't get E free gas, so I always add Star Tron feul stabilizer. I built the habit as the ethanol created a big problem with my RSV4's plastic tank and water separation would be absorbed and cause the tank to warp. So now I do it out of habit and to avoid any issues related to water buildup.

I live in California, which means I can forget about finding gas at a station without ethanol in it! BTW ethanol in the fuel will yield less power than fuel without it!

In Australia Ethanol voids the warranty.

It's 98 ron or 95 ron premium fuel only when I can't get 98!

Here in the UK you get Regular (95 Octane) or Super (97-99 Octane). There are a few stations that offer 102 Octance but the price is extortionate.

I normally use Shell V-power which is 97 Octance but is seen as one of the best fuels due to cleaning detergents, etc.

I did try 102 Octance in Germany and the bike ran a lot smoother and I felt the delivery was cleaner and quicker.

I need to check if there are any negatives effects to using an Octance booster.
