Hey There Folks,

I live in sunny San Diego and am spoiled to live in such a beautiful and bike friendly haven. I have been riding for 3 years and have gone through two 2009 CBR600RR's (one C-ABS, one not) and am currently riding a 2007 R1 with too many mods to list. I am more excited about the 1199 than a fat kid is about cake. I can't wait to see it in person and get my hands on one soon. I value everyone's thoughts, opinions, and advise thus far about the Panigale and am excited to see this forum progress as people get their hands on their own 1199.

SD? Spoiled indeed, but we will not hold that against you ;)

Welcome to the land of Ducatisti.

5-0 , wassup ? Cali is awesome ! I lived there when I was in the Navy. Great riding there ! I even had a nice crash on Mt. Palomar one time. Weeeeeeeeeee ! Bring on the 1199 ! I cannot frikin wait !

Palomar

Yessir, SD has way too many good riding spots. Speaking of Palomar, I launched myself and my CBR about 170 feet off the mountain a couple years ago. I took out a tree, my bike took out a tree...I put George of the Jungle to shame! Fun times.

Nice ! Glad to see I'm not the only one who screwed the pooch on the mountain. ( Oh yeah , and glad you survived ! ) . Me , I got lucky and bounced off the guard rail. The bike got wedged underneith ! Took three of us to pull it back out. I had to use my bootstrings to tie the fairings up onto the frame. Then rode home with a broken left clip on. Clutching was very interesting on my way down the slopes ! Ride on !
